Much Improved
Played this course a couple of years ago and it was not good. They have done a lot of work on it and it is beautiful now. Tee boxes, fairways and greens all in excellent shape.
Pretty good
Half the course was soft and the other half was hard as a rock. Most of the greens were actually in great condition. The blue tee boxes were in great condition compared to the white team boxes. Overall a great round of golf.
Second Worse Course in St. Louis
This course is in pitiful shape. Fairways and tees are basically all dirt. I play with a member for $20.00 but not anymore. The greens are extremely slow, the cart paths are like riding on a motocross track due to rocks, holes, torn up old asphalt. They do nothing to upgrade the golf course. On some holes there is more cloverleaf than grass and you have to move the ball 5 or ten yards to put it on grass. I will not play it again even if there is no charge. And the ground is so hard, your club bounces off of it and impossible to take a divot. Half the time I am afraid I will bust the shaft on my club.

Conditions not bad
After all the rain most of the course was in great shape. Greens were firm.
Horrible condition
Course is in horrible shape at the moment. Fairways are 90% dirt. Grass is not maintained at all it seems like. Rough is basically overgrown tall grass. Greens are slow and not trimmed down. Right now the course should be worth $20 with how it plays. Used to enjoy the course but now cannot fathom spending $50 to play on this course that isn’t maintained.

Als' terrible slice not the course's fault.
It was a beautiful day to play. The course was in good shape, as usual. The wind kicked up a little later in the round. I really like this course. I would put it on par with most courses in the St. Louis metro area. My playing partner did complain the Carts need to be governed a little quicker... LOL! I would recommend Oak Valley to all who ask.

Saved by the greens
At least the greens are decent, which is most important imo. The rest of the course is Dirt. Worth $26 paid for hot deal, wouldn't pay full price. Fun layout and no crowd. Spring won't likely help the course conditions much, the fairways are 90% dirt.

Always a great time and outing at Oak Valley. Course is fun and the folks at very helpful and courteous.
Great Round
There was hardly anyone at the course due to the recent rain that has had everything wet. I was able to get 18 done in just over 2 hours. Loved having the course to my self and got to go around the few ppl that were ahead of me.
