Same
Have played here before and it will be a while before I come back. Has a lot of repairs going and not worth $30.
Course is in great shape
The course was in great shape. Greens were good, tee boxes weren’t chewed up, and even with new sand getting put in, the course was in great shape.
Hello, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are sorry to see that your overall experience was anything short of 5 stars, but we hope you'll give us another try in the near future. Thanks for choosing Oak Valley Golf Course & Resort.
Still Over Priced
The course is coming along. Still think its overpriced and especially for this time of year. Pace of paly was what I thought it would be. They packed the course because of the rare nice weather which I understand. If your going to make my 2some into a 4some then you should have done that to every group and maybe the pace would have picked up a bit. 5 hrs. and 15 min. is to long. We'll see again after the spring greenup if the fairways are coming along as good as the bunkers

Fairways need heat. They're horrible at the moment

Muddy Day
I was a single and the starter was very kind and let me start on the back since it was empty. I flew through that 9 in just over an hour. This side's layout and conditions were much better than the front. Fun design and decent shape for February. I can't say the same about the front. The layout was boring at first and then turned a little questionable 5-8. Also, it is a 5 minute cart drive from the clubhouse to the first tee... nothing wrong with that, but notable nonetheless. The greens all around were very nice given the circumstances. I bet they are very nice in the late spring/early summer. I would play here again w/ a good price like I paid $21 w/ cart. Hole #8 needs some work. It isn't even playable and doesn't look like a golf hole. Long Par 4 up the hill with trees everywhere and the "fairway" is 10 yards wide (exaggerated).
Overpriced/Not worth the money
Me and my group of friends have been playing this course for a while now. It’s our go to course ever since Pomme/Arnold Golf Club shut down. We only keep coming back for its location. There are much nicer courses in the St. Louis area for the price. Save your money and play a nicer course.

Coming Back
Glad to see that this course is coming back into condition. Looking forward to playing it next year.
This course needs lots of attention.
I have played here many times over the past several years. I had hoped with the new ownership/management that the condition of the fairways and greens would have improved but they have gone the opposite conditon. We will not be playing here in the near future.
Hi, Lou. We appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us. Please know that the current condition is by no means the standard we strive to achieve and will use your feedback to the teams in charge so they can work to make changes. Thanks for visiting Oak Valley Golf Course & Resort. We hope you'll change your mind and give us another chance to show you how we've improved.
Beautiful
Played 12/8/2020. Beautiful day on a beautiful course.
Scenic and refreshing
Took a private tour around the property with Tom, great guy and very informative. Was at the end of fall season so naturally the grass was turning but greens were in great shape. Wife and I have played about six rounds since. Can’t wait for summer season! The grounds and layout are beautiful. Waiting to take advantage of outdoor pavilions and fishing with grandson, also the amazing water park. The staff is very friendly, we had lunch outside with view of Mississippi River. I know where our family will be spending are free time.
Thank you, Oak Valley
Continuous Improvement
Great layout. Conditions are always improving. Staff is excellent from the pro shop to the restaurant, from the starter to the marshall. Play here a couple of times a month and is always enjoyable.
Continuous Improvement
Course is improving daily. The layout is exceptional.
The course has a good design
Course continually improves now with white sand bunkers. They need to work on getting yardage markers! Can easily become 5 stars with the improvements they are making!
will play this again
check in was a breeze--- marshall was very helpful went out of his way to talk to all of us -- greens great---been going out to this course for years --see improvement ever time out
Not a good value.
Pros:
- Secluded location. No houses or yards to worry about.
- Nice scenery.
- Layout offered a challenge without being merciless.
Cons:
- Very, very dry. Many balls were lost in the woods on drives that landed on the fairway only to take a bad hop on the concrete-like dirt in unexpected ways.
- $9 for a brat and a Gatorade at the turn is absurd.
- The greens were very dry as well, making them very hard to approach.
Overall:
Definitely not worth the $45 and 50 minute drive to play. There are better kept courses for the same amount of money up north for less. The location is awesome and the layout was intriguing, but the fairways and greens are just too dry to enjoy it.
