Pointe Royale Golf Course Review
The course was in outstanding condition. It wasn't an overly difficult course to play, but had just the right hazards and undulations to make it somewhat challenging. Played 18 in about 3.5 hours. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the patrons were also nice and friendly. The golf carts are outfitted with GPS, which was handy, since I had not ever played the course before. The carts also has USB ports which also came in handy to keep my phone and portable speaker charged as I played music during the round. I believe the course is a little overpriced but it is in a tourist area. Overall, I would rate this course a five out of five and definitely recommend it for play. I will be returning to play if back in the area.
Tight and rolling hills
I played this course for the first time today. The fairways are tight and the course winds it’s way through rolling hills. The course conditioning was good, even though it rained three inches the day before the round.
Branson
This was a really tough course. Very pretty and we'll maintained.
Pointe Royal
Great course to play, greens in great shape for this time of the year.
Did not like the fact houses are ao close to fairways
Fun Course. 3.5 out of 5.
Have played this one several times over the years.... It's a fun course and usually in pretty good shape. A few quirky holes but those are fun every now and again. This course doesn't hold a candle to any of the Johnny Morris courses or ledgestone or Branson hills as the tier A courses in Branson but it is at the top of the tier b courses....
Winter season affecting the course, but not the layout.
This is a great course, but the fairways have browned out for the winter (now Dec.) So thhat has some effect on the lies.
But the layout is excellent, and the course is challenging. Many fairways are sloped and rolling, so the ability to place the ball is key. Accuracy is rewarded, even for someone who doesn't hit long. Short summary is if you play in the 80s and lower, you'll injoy iy, if your still in the 90s and above, likely not.
So if you're playing at a level where you can place your shots you're going to love the course. If you hit and hope, perhaps not. The greens are challenging as well, landing in the right spot is often critical. We had shots drop 6 ft. From the pin and roll to the fringe.. soe due to winter conditions on the green, but these greens will play tough most of the time.
Even so the setting is beautiful, the course is great, the carts are GPS equipped and they do advise your pace of play.
December golf
Playing golf in December is always a bonus. The back 9 was cart path only but wasn’t too bad. Course wasn’t too busy and our foursome played under 4 hours. The greens were rolling smooth and fast. Great course for anyone visiting the Branson Mo area at a quarter the cost of other courses there.
Last Round for 2019
Course condition was good. Layout on some holes difficult especially from Red tees ( women’s). Price on GolfNow was excellent for area.
First and last
I would play the course again but Never go to the bar or grille service sucks!
Great course!
Course design is unique. Greens are in excellent condition. Thoroughly enjoyed the round and will definitely be back.
Greens
The course was in great shape. The greens where excellent but hard for me to read had not played on bent grass in a long time! The staff was very friendly and the 19 th hole was very good!!
