The Pointe Golf Course

Not exactly easy on some holes for seniors. Senior tees might be a great idea..Wish we had a heads up

about temporary green on the back. A lot of hills around the greens. Need good knees. Lol

I played here because it was very close to the Wyndham resort we stayed in. I got a "Hot Deal" for $58 instead of the $100 greens fee showing for other tee times. The greens were weedy and had dead spots. The fairways had soggy place that must have been from over watering since the area is in a drought. I am glad I didn't pay $100 to play.

The course layout is ok but the greens were in terrible shape. They had been aerated and heavily sanded and during the round they turned the water on the greens while we were playing. we either played through, picked up our ball or skipped.

I am not one to leave a negative review, but this was frustrating. I played this course about a year ago and enjoyed it. But this was a totally different experience. The course conditions were just disappointing for the price we paid. The greens could have been so nice but they have weeds growing all throughout them. There was 1 temporary green that we were NOT told about. The area around the greens, especially the aprons in front of the greens looked like they haven’t been mowed in weeks. There were two mowers that seemed to follow us for about 5 holes and continued to mow right next to the greens while we were chipping and putting. Why they don’t mow backwards so they don’t stay with one group for several holes is beyond me. The GPS in one of carts continued to make loud noises and say it’s cart path only and it wasn’t. We reset it like they told us to but it continued to do it so we eventually unplugged it. The one in the other cart continued to go black and we had to reset it several times as well. Could be a great course, but it wasn’t this day. Quite frustrating to pay that much for that kind of experience.

Came down and first time playing the course. Probably should’ve been a sign that the tee times were pretty wide open for a vacation area. Layout of course was neat and challenging. However tee boxes weren’t mowed down and course overall was in rough shape. Couldn’t tell you if the greens were true because they were poorly kept.

I’m glad I played in the afternoon for the cheaper price cause this course is not worth the $100 to play.

Disappointed in the greens on the course. Full of weeds, and some greens just black and hard from being burnt up. Fairways and tee boxes were decent. Too much green for the condition of the greens. One green completely out of commission, had to putt into a hole on the fairway

We played on a hot, hot day. The course could be great, decent layout, lots of flowers. It winds through a nice neighborhood but pretty forgiving ok bathrooms. Unfortunately there was a lot of grass that didn’t belong. Crab grass mostly.the greens rolled well and were definitely soft. We had an 11 tee time and did not wait on anyone nor did anyone come up behind us so that was a plus. After playing the BigCedar courses, we needed a break on the price and had a good time.

Apparently they don’t care about their greens.

Absolutely some of the worst greens I’ve ever played.

No one fixes their ball marks and no one at the course cares either. One and done.✅

Positive: Beautiful flowers and bushes along parts of the cart paths, good cart paths, everything was green, viewable wildlife, friendly staff, good club house, clean bathrooms, decent greens and fairways.

Negative: Most of the rough looked like it hadn’t been mowed in a month. Many areas had grass up to 8 inches high. If you weren’t a perfect golfer that hit your golf ball in the fairway every time and if your ball went into the rough, most of the time you could not find your ball. If you did find it, it was almost impossible to hit out of the rough. Most frustrating golf course that I’ve played in a very long time! Golf is supposed to be fun but I had none. I picked up on at least 1/3 of the holes.

It would be so easy for this to be a fun golf course—just cut the rough down at least once a week!!!

I could tell this was an excellent course, unfortunately it had been raining so it was 90 degrees on front nine and cart path only in the back. Played with a father and son from Texas and after several holes and 2 rain showers we started playing best ball and had a great time. The staff were friendly and I will definitely give it another chance when back in the area.

Enjoying this short but lots of hills and valleys, great conditions and we played a round in 3:30 hours.

After playing the Big Cedar courses, we had an open day and decided to play here. Course layout was fine but fairways had high grass. You couldn’t tell the difference between fairways and rough. One in our group had to rent clubs since American Airlines lost his. Set was incomplete missing several irons. Maybe just spoiled since we played Big Cedar but course underwhelmed us.

Loved the bent grass greens. Rough is punishing.

Couple of fairways were not mowed probably due to rain.
