Have proof of reservation
Have played this course many times, the starter had my tee time(which had been moved back 24 minutes) but at check-in the club house didn't, hard to figure out. Had a hard copy of conformation otherwise my pre-paid "hot deal" wouldn't have existed. I always bring proof just for this occasion.
Mohave Resort
Nice course. A bit cloudy and windy on the day we played, but not really an issue. Will play again on our next trip
Great challenging course
Great course good challenge lots of beautiful views
No Local rate
I called the course at 4:20 pm the day before. No answer. So I booked the tee time thru golf now. The rate on golf now was $79. The local rate is $35. Golf now didn’t offer a local rate to book it. So I booked the time thinking I would be discounted at the course but they would not do that. I had to pay $46 more because I booked thru golf now. Seems very unfair.
Great golf day
Overall the course is in good shape. The sand traps are the only real problem on the course. There is really not any sand in the bunkers...more a mix of grass, weeds and gravel. So just don't hit into any of them! A few of the worse traps are staked as GIR. The fairways are in excellent condition with a great job on the overseer. Rough is dormant Bermuda grass. The greens are firm, but soft enough to let the ball grab. Covid-19 protocols are adequate. I would definitely play this course again..especially on a GolfNow hot deal.
Enjoy playing this course
Enjoy playing this course when i get the chance love the fairways and the overall condition of this course i always play this course when i can it is a fun day on the greens...they where running true but a bit on the slow side just made an adjustment and all went well....
Nice layout and good pace
Greens were very slow. Fairways were also slow. bunkers had grass growing in them, but other than that it was fun and finished in about 3 hours and 40 minutes playing as a twosome.
No Facilities
They are letting this course die. Fairways are all brown. Worse, they have NO water on the course for players. Extremely hot, yet no water for players.
Pro Shop
Guy in the Pro Shop was impolite. Never said hello or welcomed us to the course.
We dodged sprinklers throughout the round and when we returned to clubhouse, everything was locked. No restrooms available.
A very good course with poor management!
Good course, not busy in summer
I would never consider playing this course at regular rates but booking by phoning the clubhouse nets a $25 summer green fee instead of the $47 "Hot deal" offered here. The course is in pretty good shape although today and tomorrow 18 holes consists of the same 9 played twice; the greens are being "punched." With a tee time of 10:30 we weren't pushed, didn't have to wait behind others and were done with 18 holes in 3 hours. Hot (101*F) when done but the course does allow you to bring a small cooler along in the summer. We bring frozen water and Gatorade and let it defrost as we play. The rough is long enough to be penalizing but the fairways are generous. Nice layout with carries over water on a few holes. Bugs weren't out today but this course has brutal mosquitoes many months of the year. This course is worth playing and the positives definitely outweigh the negatives.
Local Rate?
Their local rate was $50 for a 130pm tee time, a bit steep for a local twilight rate. Greens and fairways were dry and very little healthy turf. Cart attendant was rude, he completely ignored us after we thanked him twice. He didn't say two words to us before that.
