Over-Priced; Rude staff
This is a great little course, but is over-priced...charging locals $50 for a 130pm tee time in May (???) You can play a much nicer course in Las Vegas for cheaper. The course is burned out and dry, hardly any healthy turf on the greens and fairways. Cart attendant was extremely rude...we thanked him TWICE and he said nothing to us, completely ignored us. Having worked at a resort golf course myself, I can tell you this guy wouldn't last a day anywhere else.
Over-Priced
This is a great little course, but they charge locals way too much...$50 for a 130pm tee time. Course was burned out, hardly any healthy turf on the greens or fairways. After finishing our round the cart attendant was rude, and did not say anything when we thanked him...twice.
Nice course layout with terrable bunkers
Greens are fairly slow and bumpy.
The bunkers should all be played as a free drop. They do appear to be working on them but 80 % are in very bad condition. With 10% msrked as ground under repair.
Most have no sand.
Good Course
Course condition is much worse than a year ago. Sand traps are bad at best and they have a lot.
Pace of play is usually slow but today was extra slow about 5.5 hours.
Best course in Laughlin, NV
Great layout and fair. Pace of play terrible but golfers not the course is the problem. Fee ok
Staff
I’ll start with the good! On course beverage person - good! Saw her several times and always nice. The staff at the snack bar in club house was also very good and food was good.. Staff at check in was a grump. Staff / starter / cart manager was a jerk. You had to wait in line to get him to acknowledge that you existed and then wait again ( more than once) to get a cart “assigned” to put your clubs on - he NEVER made any comments regarding Thanks for playing here today / have a great round or anything positive.
Also - no staff at club drop- no one ever offers or is available to load or unload your clubs onto cart - basically you’re on your own.
Round took 4:45 ☹️ no ranger existed. Waited every hole , Sand traps ( and there are lots of them) very poorly maintained and some even had ground under repair signs in them. Greens were bumpy and speed very inconsistent from hole to hole . Course layout a little confusing as to where the next hole was a couple of times - lot’s of sand protecting drive landing areas and green approach. Course dry so rolling from fairway into a trap was a common occurrence.
Tee boxes
I like the course, I think there should be another tee box for women. I had to play the green tees and the three men played the whites!!! Not a women friendly course, sorry!!
Course is coming back into shape
It has been a year since I have played and a lot of work has been done to the course. Greens are great, New Sand in the bunkers, fairways are full of grass. Definitely back to being best value in the Tri State Area!
Played on a very windy day so not many people out. Was a challenge in the wind as shot placement is key. The closing 2 holes a real test with the windy condition. Overall a fun and interesting track.
Great round of golf
Really enjoyed playing this course. It was a beautiful day not much wind. The course had some water damage on hole 18 but overall was in decent shape. Staff was friendly and the restaurant was nice.
Great course! Love ❤️ it!
Nice views ,lots room on fairways,no wind .Friendly staff! Definitely play it again and again.
Beautiful, fun, yet challenging course
The fairways were perfect. The rough was pretty rough. The bunkers were packed sand/dirt and some bunkers were lacking a rake so the conditions in those were poor. There was a grumpy guy in charge of the very friendly and helpful starter. The starter was a young man that was dressed well and represented the golf course well. The grumpy old guy was wearing shoddy, dirty polo shirt and swim trunks. He did not represent the golf course well.
We had a great game of golf. It was challenging but very fun. We will return soon.
Huukan Golf
The staff was friendly and helpful as always. The course is getting better after the damaging rainstorm a while back.
Great time
We play Huukan in the fall then in spring. Each time we play they have improved this layout. The staff are awesome and friendly. Very good value when booking. on Golfnow.
Play it again Sam
Always enjoy playing this course. Played yesterday at 2pm after a tournament in the morning and had a great time. It was like having our private golf club, we played 18 holes in three hours and ten minutes and that was not rushing. Course came through the summer pretty well, you can imagine to keep everything watered when the temp is 120 degrees is tough. They are redoing the bunkers, adding sand so some were a little sketchy. All in all, we booked on Golfnow, and got a great price. PLAY IT!!, You will enjoy the course.
