Always a great place

Always enjoy playing Primm Lakes or Desert. One of my favorite places to play, the course(s) have no homes around them, no roads or freeways around them, and a great practice facility. The people who work there are also great!

We arrived early, staff met us at the bag drop, loaded our bags onto a cart, showed us where to go. The course was in great shape. Drink service on the course and she came around regularly. The greens were fast and predictable. Nice track and great value. I'll be back..

Gem in the desert

The course was in fine shape. The greens were smooth and the fairways lush.
The design is different on each hole so as to make you play all the shots. A fine test

Primm

Not taken care as I remember it to be years ago. This facility used to be pristine. What happened? Also even the cart paths need some attention.

Primm Valley Desert Course - Great!

Once again Primm did not disappoint. The layout is challenging enough. It was a very calm day. If the wind really blows, it can get VERY tough. Everyone there treats the golfers great. It's woth the drive from Las Vegas!

Great out of town course

Played the Desert course and the weather was perfect. Went out early and played in just over 3 hours with one other person. The conditions were good and they are keeping the fairways in great shape, but the greens were a little dry, yet putting was fine. Don't need too many extra balls as they don't have much water on the Desert course and the desert is open near the fairways.

Nice Layout and Interesing Holes

Played this course on a Friday hoping to get a quick round in. 5 hours later, we wrapped up 18 having waited on every tee box and fairway. I would have expected a faster pace for the rack rate, but enough about the pace of play.

The course itself is a really fun track. Nice risk reward opportunities, fair, and the course was in really good condition for a drought stricken area. I played the blues and found myself with a wedge approach on several holes due to the elevated tees and firm fairways. The greens were pretty firm as well and it was tough to stop the ball from elevated approaches and par 3's.

I would definitely play again if I found a good deal.

Great Value if Discounted

I decided to give the desert course a go after playing the Lakes course 2 days prior. I am a 12 handicap and played the blue tees. I had read that the desert course is less busy, so it seemed a good choice on the way out of town. Unfortunately, I think others had the same idea and the desert course was busier than the lakes. Both rounds (Lakes on Friday and Desert on Sunday) were just over 5 hrs. I would not have been a happy camper if I had paid the full rate, but getting a decent discount on the green fee made the 5 hrs a little easier to swallow.

The course was fair but one could definitely benefit from some course knowledge. I found the greens difficult to read and being on the right level made a huge difference. Club selection is tricky on the par 3s with the elevation change and prevailing winds. There were a couple of chewed up areas in the fairway, but otherwise the course was in very playable condition. The Blues were 6400 some yards, but the longer holes were either from elevated tee boxes or with the prevailing wind. A really nice layout that made the course play much shorter than the yardage. If I had to choose between the 2 courses, I would choose the Lakes.

Nice Masters Week Round

Perfect venue for one of our 3 course Masters week buddies trip. Where else can you play a wonderful Tom Fazio course for a great GolfNow hot deal of $100 for a foursome? We had a blast. Course in great condition and a super friendly staff. We played the lakes course, which was very challenging for our group of good golfers. Primm is a bit out of the way but well worth the 30 mile drive from Vegas. Really fun course.

nice course

The T box and fairways are in good condition. Most of the fairways are wide and the greens are extremely fast- like putting on linoleum.

A Great Day!

Great facility, customer service and golf course. Played alone on the Desert Course in the wind on Easter Sunday. Greatly enjoyed my round and scored well. The bunkers are a challenge, more like waste bunkers. Will I play there again? Absolutely!

Above average course

Was always curious about the Primm Valley Golf Course and took advantage of a Golfnow hot deal. Plenty of parking with bag drop off. Electric carts with GPS and very nice club house with an old nostalgic character to it. Bar/restaurant staff was very courteous and the food was excellent. The greens rolled nice, fairways were average. The Ivanpah Solar Power Facility was in view on most of the holes, unusual facility to look at. Pace of play was relaxed, not too many groups out and the Desert course took about 4 hours to play.
