Atkinson Resort & Country Club
About Atkinson Resort & Country Club
The Atkinson Resort & Country Club is just 45 minutes north of Boston but worlds away in spirit. The resort has grown from nine holes in 1996 to 27 holes, including a nine-hole par-3 course. The 75,000-square-foot clubhouse features two restaurants (Merrill's Tavern and Stagecoach Grille), overnight rooms and banquet facilities for weddings and events. The club was named National Course of the Year in 2015 by the National Golf Course Owner's Association, a testament to the entire operation.Facts

Just a wonderful course
Impossible to give this 9-hole, par 3 course anything other than 5s in all categories. Riding from hole to hole was great. Even had to repair ball marks in the areas around the greens.
Great Par 3 Course
Atkinson CC boasts one of the finest /challenging Par 72 courses in NE, The Par 3 course is maintained in the same elite condition as the championship course. Great way to sharpen your short game.
Already in real good shape
The course is already in really good shape the greens need to just wake up a bit but other than that great condition for early spring
Nice Course
Course is in great shape. Very good layout. Nice staff. Overall a great venue.
Absolutely Amazing
The course layout and conditions were perfect. The amenities and practice facilities were fantastic. The 19th hole is the best around. I can’t wait to get back to play or just to hang out and use the practice area and tavern.
Dry course
We started after 11 am and were told by bar we couldn't purchase a beer to take out to course, "beer cart will be out shortly". After first 9, still no beer cart, still refused service and asked again with same answer. Made it to the 15th hole before beer cart arrived. Didn't completely ruin the golfing experience, but not a good first impression of this course. One of the most expensive around and not living up to the cost.
Surprised at course conditions
Atkinson has always had a good reputation for quality. Unfortunately, they are currently struggling. Tees were generally poor condition, fairways deseased, greens, generally pretty good. Great facility with good practice ground, nice pro shop, and great sports bar.
Amazing course with great layout
The course was in amazing shape. Even under some tough conditions, very windy and some heavy rain that hit for about 10-15 minutes the course held up great. Challenging but playable layout with some very fun holes. Coming up 18 is one of my favorites, such a picturesque finish.
The course was in fantastic shape but the round took almost 6 hours to play. Needed some rangers to move some slow groups along.
Tough Greens
Tough layout. The back nine, in particular, is very tight, with a number of holes where you can't hit driver. I had a particularly hard time reading the greens. The course was in very good shape, tee to green.
