Nice Course, Great Staff, Slow Pace
Only knock is that it too 4.5 hours to play without a ranger to manage the pace of play.
Course plays nice and is in very good condition for this time of year.
Late summer blues
I’ve been playing here for three years. Course has a great layout. Play in the spring and early summer. The last three years the course gets destroyed by August. Poor maintenance , disease and lack of water has beat up the course. Also paid $100 to play on areated greens that’ weren’t properly filled with sand. On this particular day, the starter was trying to hold everyone up because the owner had some investment firm coming out to play and he didn’t want anyone around them. This is not acceptable when you have people that pay to play. While out on the course, the Ranger was trying to throw other groups in between holes that were already moving at a slow pace. Never seen anything like it all my years of golf.
Good Layout, Average Conditions
SInce it was mid-August, the conditions were very dry and fairways were somewhat burned out. The greens looked like they would have been in good condition, but they were just aerated, so it was difficult to tell.
Always a fun course to play and we would go back again for the mid-afternoon rate we got. A good value
Good
Played a quick 9 and very much enjoyed the half round. Played early afternoon and there were. It many other golfers so it made the pace enjoyable and fun.
Great layout
We love the course and make the trip once per year. The layout is great but the course needs work. A fair amount of crab grass.
Course generally good- but it has been better
The course is showing some wear, especially on the back nine. The bunkers were firm (not raked) and there is crab-grass in spots. Greens we very good, but were faster in the past.
Decent Course
It’s an ok course. Not in great condition. Definitely not worth $125 on weekends. I would maybe return if it was in the $75-$80 range.
Great course
This place is amazing, I wish it had practice facilities.
The course is great the people are incredible and the restaurant and staff are outstanding.
