Beautiful Course - 5 1/2 Hour Round
The course has a great layout. It is in good shape for late May. The pace of play was awful. The round took five and a half hours. The hurry and wait impacted my game big time. The course should have a ranger making sure people are playing at a four and half hour pace max.
Really enjoyed
My wife and I took wanted to golf while on our honeymoon. The reviews were really good for this place. We took the hot deal and had a tee time at 12:18pm. The staff was super nice and made sure you knew the process of getting out and about. We got paired with a solo to make us a 3some. We had a solo behind us on hole 1 which was odd. We allowed him to join us so the pace was better. Anyways, the course was really nice, have absolutely no complaints about course. The visual aspect of it was nice along with everything being in great condition. Pace was super slow with a duo in front of us, and a 4some in front of them. But all in all, i absolutely recommend compared to the other courses we saw.
Slow greens
Greens were too slow. Even downhill putts would not hold a true line. It was like putting on a shag rug. Course was in excellent shape and layout was cool No driving range and staff was like warm at best. I can't recommend based on green speeds. Better playing conditions nearby.
Tough but fun
First impressions: Getting to the course was very easy and super easy to park and know where you’re going. Seeing as it’s on a vineyard, there’s a lot of other buildings on/around the property. Checking in was the typical walk into pro shop and give your name. The gentleman working the desk was super friendly and personable. We got there about an hour-hour and a half early. We asked if there was a spot to grab a quick lunch. He pointed us in the direction of the vineyard restaurant. Thinking I’m going to get raked over the coals price wise we oblige and to my surprise, the price was reasonable. The dining was exquisite and the property is gorgeous. In and out no problem, enough time to hit some putts on the practice green.
Playing: I’m a 9.5hcp and played from the blues. Bags got loaded up promptly and we were paired with 2 guys who were great to play with. Off to the 1st tee we go. Starter at the first gives us some tips and is super pleasant. From the blues the course plays around 6700yds. Usually my drive is the best part of my game, this round, it wasn’t. However, the course is pretty wide open. I did lose a few balls but was able to recover easily. 1 long-ish par 3 otherwise they’re great set up for full shots and 1 par 5 that isn’t reachable for long hitters such as myself. Although the course plays mostly straight and is pretty straight forward, a good amount of course management was had which made it fun. The fairways and tee boxes were pristine. The rough was thick and full. Fringe was 7/10, patchy in some spots but if ya don’t hit it there you don’t have to worry about it. Greens were well kept and rolled true. Moderately tough to read but speed wise if you hit a good putt on a bad line, you weren’t punished.
Overall: I shot an 86, the staff and other players were friendly and pace of play was average. The views and property are outstanding, prices are reasonable. If you get a chance to play this course, do it. You won’t be disappointed!
Enjoyable Course
The course was a good layout in good shape, better than other courses we had played this week. The greens were also faster and true. Unfortunately, we were behind a slow foursome that got worse on the back nine. The range marshall finally got around on hole 16 and we finished OK. We will definitely play this course again when we are in the area.
Nice track
This is a very nice track. If you keep it straight, you should have an problems but there are places where trees and water come into play. Fairways were nice and greens were true. All in all, a very enjoyable round.
Well Maintained Course
We played the course on a very busy day and unfortunately were behind a slow foursome. Other than that, the course was in good condition, with good greens, all better than other courses we played this week. We will play again when we return to the area.
Not as nice as it use to be.
course is very poorly marked eg. 150,100,200
which causes slow play when crowded. Greens were just coming off be aerated a week before tough to read lots of bumps. tees were flat and the fairways were ok but the ruff and surrounding areas of course were all dirt. Had a deal for $49...would not pay much more. Pretty typical public course.
Great day at Renault National.
Our group recently played at Renault National, and it was a great time! The course was well maintained, offering a mix of challenges and fun. Fairways and greens were in great shape. The staff were incredibly welcoming, and Renault National exceeded our expectations, leaving us eager for a return visit. Highly recommended for golf enthusiasts of all levels!
Nice golf course
The greens were still aerating, but the general condition of the course was very good. The personnel working were friendly and very professional
