Seaview, A Dolce Hotel
About Seaview, A Dolce Hotel
Seaview, A Dolce Hotel, was founded in 1914 as an exclusive country club. It has a long history of hosting professional golfers, presidents, rock stars and celebrities. In 1942, Sam Snead won the PGA Championship on a combination of holes of what is now Seaview's Pines and Bay courses. The Bay course, a regular host of the LPGA Tour, delivers the views beyond Reeds Bay to the Atlantic City Skyline. The hotel includes 34,500 square feet of meeting and event space, indoor and outdoor pools, three restaurants and a fitness center. The historic charm of the interior feels like a trip back in time.Facts

Not Worth the Money
Not sure why the significant price increase. Course has always been in good shape but it is definitely not worth 165$ per round. There are many other courses in the area that I would play before I played the bay again.
Windy day and narrow fairways
This course is designed for better golfers. With a handicap of 20, it was too difficult for me
Pines course needs considerable attention
Bunkers need maintenance or fill some in, grass and rocks in Bunkers are unacceptable. Cart path a lot of attention more likely replacement. Rough just off fareways need attention bads. Weeds are all over. Many tee boxes are chewed up. Greens are in good shape. Fareways are in fair condition. We would consider elsewhere first. To us the value was not there.
This course needs attention
Very nice layout. Bunkers need upgrade badly. If the bunkers aren't maintained fill some in. Grass shouldn't be growing in them. Areas just off of farewell needs work badly. Cart paths are in need of replacement in numerous areas. Greens rolled nicely and were in good condition. Tee boxes are chewed up considerably. Frankly we will likely consider playing elsewhere first, value is just not there.
Seaview Pines Course
First time visiting the Ocean City area of NJ. Found course on GolfNow and found the course to be extremely well maintained and accommodating. Every employee I met really made me feel welcome and appeared as if they really enjoyed working there. Beautiful location and found the course to be a very challenging course for me to play, as I am not the best player ... but I am getting better. I would definitely come back next time we visit Ocean City.
Excellent facility
Best public course at the shore without a doubt. The bay course is challenging and have wonderful scenic views of Atlantic City and the pines course is a fun and challenging layout, I feel like the pines gets a reputation bc it's "not" the bay course but it's a great course in its own right without the views and the green head flies that come with the bay course. Everything at seaview is exceptional, the food, staff, pro shop, locker rooms is all great and it truly has a old club feel which I love.
Expected more for the money
Overall the course was average. I assumed playing a couple weeks after the LPGA was there that the course would be in much better shape. There was weeds in the sand traps, lots of dead grass patches around, etc. I didn't think it was worth the $185 price tag. I have played other courses in the area for a lot cheaper and have been more satisfied. Great setting and views though...they just need to keep it up a bit better!
Good course, not so good staff
Course in great shape. Fantastic greens and pace of play was awesome. Stayed the weekend at the hotel and stored bags in the pro shop. Service from the starter and pro not so great, unfriendly and rushed. Personally don’t think it’s worth the money but had to give it a shot since we stayed there.
