Seaview, A Dolce Hotel
About Seaview, A Dolce Hotel
Seaview, A Dolce Hotel, was founded in 1914 as an exclusive country club. It has a long history of hosting professional golfers, presidents, rock stars and celebrities. In 1942, Sam Snead won the PGA Championship on a combination of holes of what is now Seaview's Pines and Bay courses. The Bay course, a regular host of the LPGA Tour, delivers the views beyond Reeds Bay to the Atlantic City Skyline. The hotel includes 34,500 square feet of meeting and event space, indoor and outdoor pools, three restaurants and a fitness center. The historic charm of the interior feels like a trip back in time.Facts

Aerated Greens - Pro Shop doesn't tell you
Book The Force in here Pro Shop did not bother to tell the screens were just aerated two days prior, golf now had no pop-up to notify you about aeration they said that the course has to let them know. Even the starter said the guys in the Pro Shop are not telling anyone that it's aerated. Complete rip-off Greens were terrible
Sand Trap Galore
Course was in good shape for the time of year. Be careful of all the bunkers have your sand wedge ready to go. We had an absolutely beautiful day to play. Course is challenging but fair. I loved it and will be back
Seaview Bay Course
I picked a perfect Sunday for our first trip to Seaview. The resort is very nice, the staff is attentive and the course was in great condition. I brought my Son and his buddy and this was their first time in a real 'club' atmosphere. They enjoyed the experience quite but bit, but they probably won't be happy at the local tracks anymore.
For A Troon Premium Resort Course The Course Conditions Were Subpar
As regular attendees to the LOGA ShopRite Classic, we have always enjoyed playing the Bay course at Seaview . Unfortunately this year the course conditions were not to the expected standards of a Troon owned resort. Approximately 85% of the sand traps had not been groomed for quite a while. When asked upon round completion by the cart attendants “how was everything today”, I replied regarding the lack of grooming of the sand traps and the reply was rather than an apology, a curt “we can’t control the conditions of the sand traps if the golfers don’t rake the traps”. That’s certainly true as well but grooming sand traps should be expected in a minimal basis when you pay $540 for a foursome.
Not worth the green fees
The Pines is not a $80-120 golf course. Cart paths, tee boxes, bunkers, and rough are terrible. Public courses are better by far for the money.
Seaview Bay Course / A Delight
Seaview Bay is a beautiful, challenging golf course. It still holds the annual LPGA ShopRite Classic and the course is in great shape. The course for myself always looks deceptive in it's open design and beautiful surrounding area. It plays more challengingly than it looks, but always a pleasure to play. I like to use "golfnow or Teeoff" for their special off season rates which makes it reasonable $$ to play..
Amateur mistake
Embarrassing, situation was my first experience using golf Now. The pro and young assistant’s probably had a good laugh about it, at my expense! I am very sore about the whole experience!
Duped
I am a male 70 year old senior golfer who can still play to a 8 handicap from the senior tee but I wasn’t alerted by any staff to the facts about women’s tees not existing so when I was introduced to the three women comprising my foursome I thought fine, they’ll play from the women’s tees and I’ll play from the senior tees . So when we arrived at the first hole some confusion ensued when they realized there were no red tees and they would need to play from my tee box, which put me in a very awkward situation where I assured them all was well, I would play from the men’s tees After seven holes , I excused myself, drove to the pro shop and asked to speak to the pro to whom I expressed my displeasure with the situation of not being able to enjoy the course from the senior tees because the women clearly didn’t want me on their tee box and the men’s regular tees takes the enjoyment away because more than half of the par 4s are unreachable for me and that was why I quit after 7 holes and was unhappy, to which Jeff replied about how the usga doesn’t require women’s tees and was there a problem with the men’s tees and shrugged his shoulders while I thanked him, turned around and left!
Fun course!
Great afternoon next to the Bay! Fun little course. Straight-forward holes, nothing hidden. Nothing really difficult. Greens are slow, bit ‘furry’. Back nine from Blues tees offers some unique challenges with a couple of long Par 3’s (193 and 220 yds) and two long Par 4’s over 400 yards.
Terrible Tee Box
The Fairways were ok, but the tee box and ruff wasn’t good.
Difficult but fun course to play
greens were in terrific shape and pace of play excellent
