The Hyatt Regency Long Island is home to 358 guestrooms and suites, many of which overlook the Wind Watch Golf & Country Club. The hotel offers a heated indoor pool and hot tub and a seasonal outdoor pool as well. The 24-hour StayFit Gym features various courts for tennis, volleyball and basketball as well as all the necessary strength and cardio equipment. The Nu Restaurant and Lounge serve up a menu with a variety of cocktails, entrees and small plates. We were cold due to windy conditions but course was in good shape for January.

First Time at Wind Watch
I’ll be back!
I thoroughly enjoyed playing Wind Watch today. Yes, it was 37 degrees outside, yes the ground was so hard I struggled to get a tee into the ground, but the scenery was beautiful. The layout was fun and challenging. As with every course, it’s always to play from the fairway. This is particularly useful because there are several holes where water comes into play.
I used a cart and while they do offer a covered cart for $20 more. I had booked my tee time using GolfNow, Hot Deal, otherwise I may have played elsewhere. I’m glad I didn’t.
I did happens to shoot my best round of 2020-2021 today, but that is now the reason for the sparkling review.
Fairways were a little hard and browning, but it’s to be expected in the winter on Long Island.
The greens were actually impeccable! Fast and true. Some difficult reads but I mostly 2 putted them.
The cart was powerful and handled the terrain easily!
I started out alone, behind a twosome and another single caught up to me on the 9th and played the remaining holes. Nice guy that played at the same pace as me. He was familiar with the course so he provided some layout into.
I don’t have my reading glasses on so I’ll apologize now about any typos or autocorrects gone wrong.
Like I said, I’ll be back!

Quality golf course, challenging greens
Played once in the summer and now once in the winter. Well kept course with a few very interesting holes, especially the ones with water hazard and a few beautiful holes with elevated tee boxes. Cart mandatory, and necessary due to slightly strange course layout where there is significant distance between holes 3-4 times in a round. Not a long course, but intelligently placed bunkers that make you think very strategically. Fun round, BEAUTIFUL in the summer, but still looks good in winter. Will be back!

Good course but the weather was cold
Tee time was at about 8:00 while the weather was cold and windy. Good pace of the round taking about 4 hours for a foursome.

Fairway has been repaired, green also got the speed as before.
Everyone satisfied with course.
