The People make the difference!
Some of the friendliest staff I've ever met. From the pro shop, to the food and beverage staff and of course the starters; incredibly nice and respectful.
Sometimes playing a premier public course like this can be intimidating, the starters were incredible and down to earth. Really set the tone for the round and allowed my playing partner and I to enjoy ourselves.
Have I played a course or two with a better value for the money,...sure but not many. The course isn't easy but the fescue is easy to navigate so lost balls are rare and the pace of play reflects that.
The course layout is brilliant and roll offs are ingenious. You are given many options around the greens and the deception is refreshing.
My biggest gripe would be the lack of GPS units and/or yardage book as many of the holes are deceptive and blind shots are a plenty. Definitely will be back now that I have course knowledge.
Best public course in WNY
The title says it all. No negatives that I could find. Played in 3.5 hours. Greens may have been a little slow after the celebrity outing the day before
One of the best in WNY
I love playing this course. It has a first class practice amenities with an outstanding driving range and a practice hole that you can chip/pitch as well as bunkers to play out of. Course conditions are outstanding and staff was pleasant and made the experience even better. This course has a private country club feel!
Pace of play was horrible. Waited 10 mins or more every shot for two people ahead of our group
Hickory Sticks
Course was in beautiful condition. Wide open play. Fast greens. Challenging but fair. I will definitely be back.
Great Day
Course was in great shape for April in western Ny. Staff was great and pace of play excellent. 3 hour and forty minute round. Will be back.
Clubhouse attendant extremely unhelpful
I have played this course many many times. The GM is good, the starters are wonderful and the young lady who manages outside is amazing. And the grounds crew staff are excellent. However, the person who is inside and manages the clubhouse is awful. No customer service skills whatsoever. Recently had an issue with a golf now booking, where I cancelled and rebooked the same time due to a misunderstanding of the use of a credit. When I got to the course at the time I rebooked it did not show up on his tee time sheet. So, I went to my car which I told him I was going to do to show him my conformation. When I showed him my cancellation immediately followed by my re-booking, he said " Its not on my sheet, I have no proof you paid there is nothing I can do, you will have to handle this yourself". Now, I had a conformation, which showed the tee time and that it was paid for. Not to mention the thousands of dollars I have spent at this course over the time it has been open. To accuse me in essence of trying to rip the course off of a $40.00 tee time. And to offer ZERO assistance when there was no one in the clubhouse it just plain horrible customer service. I had proof I paid, am a loyal customer and the best the clubhouse attendent could say was, "THERE IS NOTHING I CAN DO, YOU WILL HAVE TO HANDLE THIS YOURSELF". In the end the GM took care of this issue in a matter of minutes without having me handle it myself. Now I understand that this was a simple computer error and truly no ones fault involved. But the true of job of customer service is to service the customer. And this individual seems to think It is not. Perhaps he would serve the course better as the guy who drives the cart around picking up the golf balls. I will not be going back to this course, needless to say. It was a joy playing there, but once I get accused of ripping a place off, its kind of hard to give the place any more of my business. Besides I can shoot 94 anywhere. Take care Murray, been my pleasure.

Cold wet day!
Great day and conditions considering the time of year and rain that we have been getting!
Best course in WNY!
If you live in WNY you need to make your way here for a round.
