So Fun
Great place to practice because its never busy and super fun par 3 course to gamble on. Very good conditions and price.
Great Course, cool to play a PGA Tour Course
The condition they keep the course in is excellent. Its cool to play a former PGA tour course. Greens were abnormally slow though so that was kind of annoying and hard to get used to. Its really not that hard cause its kinda wide open. Its a great place to play, and a cool clubhouse and bar, outdoor patio etc. I dont think its worth the money when you can play Shenendoah for $100 less and its just as nice, but its a nice treat once in a while.
Beautiful course AWFUL experience AWFUL customer service
Yes it was a beautiful course with a nice club house. EVERYTHING else was poor at best. Understaffed. Disinterested . No one was there to open front security gate? 10 minute wait. Low on carts 25 minute wait. Toilet in locker room clogged. Boy working pro shop said it’s a skeleton staff. Not time for driving range but got charged for it!
Several loud drunk double foursomes playing nearby us. SLOW play NEVER saw any club management on course? 4:50 time to play.
Thought about taking pictures of all the overstuffed garbage cans on the course.
Back at club house around tweanty drunk young men were in bar taking pictures with female staff members. ZERO management at this crazy place.
NEVER AGAIN
Extremely bad experience
I was scheduled to play in a US Am Tour major at Turning Stone this weekend. On June 12th, I reserved a 1030 tee time to play Atunyote on Friday, July 19th, the day before the two day major. When I arrived (60 minutes before my tee time), I approached the bag drop. The starter asked me for my tee time. I gave him my name and tee time and went inside to pay. When I returned, the starter had my bag on a cart and said that my tee time was changed; I would now go out at 1100 as a single!!! I went back inside and spoke with the assistant pro, asked for and received a refund. I subsequently spoke with the head pro and the US Am Tour owner. The head pro started to tell me about another group, which had nothing to do with my tee time. The US Am Tour owner did absolutely nothing to help. I will never return to Turning Stone. If something like this happens to you, please remember this review.
Wow great value !
Course great condition staff very friendly . Food was great !
Top Notch
I've played many across the country. This one is at the top.
Worth every penny!
Best course I have played in years. I had the first tee time of the day. I am a single so was paired with a two some that never showed. So being first out I played quickly, 2.5hrs to be exact. I caught the grounds crew by hole 9, however everyone was professional, friendly and respectful (quieting all machinery as I played thru). The conditions of the course were perfect. It was like playing on carpet. Big difference as should be expected from the course before the ground crew as to after, Before: A world class top notch well manicured course. After: greens much slower, rough was THICK 3.5-4" , but still a course in fantastic shape. Hope I get to play this course and the others here at Turning Stone sometime soon.
Took advantage of a special
My son and I took advantage of a fall special for $70 for tee times after 2pm. It was October, so it gets dark at 6:20pm, but we were able to get all 18 in thanks to the group in front of us who kept moving despite appearing to be mediocre to poor golfers.
I really liked the course layout. The fairways were pristine considering it was mid-October and the greens were in great condition .... and fast, which I like. I had great difficulty reading the greens and did not putt very well. Sometimes the ball would break about six inches from the hole despite there being no indication from studying and lining up the putt. There are no flat, straight putts on any green; they are all undulating. Suffice it to say, putting - at least for me and my son - was challenging.
The only negative comment I have is that the front nine is close to the NYS Thruway, so there is a lot of annoying road noise. The bottom line is, I think the course is worth checking out, but I probably wouldn't be willing to pay the regular price.
Love this place, the best of the 3 courses here
Of the three high end courses here this one is my favorite. Its the most fun! So well kept, great conditions.
Golf Turning Stone
Course was overwatered. But in amazing shape.Rough was punishing. . Bunkers not well maintained considering there are a lot of them . Greens excellent.
Getting off the I-90, signs to the golf course are very poor. Don’t rely on your GPS if you use the address on the website.. signage on the cross is minimal. Had to ask where the first tee was located.
Saw the cart girl once in 4.5 hours.
Bring plenty of balls.
Unbelievable; Definitely a Buddies Bucket Trip
Best conditions for a resort course I have ever played. Atunyote is the easiest of the three (Shenandoah & Kaluhyat). Kaluhyat is a bear but beautiful but always windy. All three courses are pristine - just perfect! I really want to return but have other bucket list courses to play. If you haven't played Turning Stone put it on your bucket list. You won't be disappointed!
Great course
We had a great day at Atunyote...Staff was great, course was awesome. Beautiful vistas and fun and friendly course. We were coed group and course was great for both men and women.
