Spring Golf! Photo submitted by Sshipper on 03/09/2022
Nice Course
From tee to green the course was very nice. Greens were fast and consistent. If I would have spent less time in the trees and the sand…
Course in good shape
Course conditions were great. Greens a little slow but consistent throughout the round. Fairways in good shape. Pace a little slow but reasonable for how crowded it was that day. Took about 4 1/2 hours to play.
Meh
This used to be a fine golf course until home started sprouting up everywhere. Now it looks just like a Florida course. There are also several holes with cross hazards that force most players to lay up with a hybrid or iron. I am sure the course is adequate for those who burnt the ball 180-200 yards, unfortunately, houses and condos don’t create character.
Good day as always
We enjoy playing Brunswick Plantation. The layout is challenging and the people are always friendly.
The greens were in excellent condition and play moved along at a better than normal pace.
Good bargain and value
Picked this course basically because of price. Gold prices are incredibly high in the area right now. And I’m not willing to pay north of $100. Brunswick cost $65 and for that price I felt like it was a very good value. It’s not perfect. Far from it. The tees could stand to be cut. The fairways were thin and burnt out in some areas. And the bunkers needed raking. But the greens were really nice and very smooth. If you gotta have pristine to pay $150-$200. But if you want good golf at a lower price this is a good option. There are 3 9s. We played Magnolia and Dogwood. Magnolia felt tight with a good bit of doglegs and water. Dogwood did not feel as tight, did not have as much water, but still had several doglegs. We were paired with a couple who were members and had a great time. I would do it again for sure.
Beautiful course
Brunswick is in the style of an old Southern Plantation. Bent Grass greens, Bermuda fairways, not to much sand.
Need Some Grass
I know it’s early and it has been dry but very little grass on fairways and too much on greens. Very slow greens. Probably to protect them from dry weather. Someone needs to rake the bunkers. Interesting and fun layout from Magnolia to Dogwood nines. Very slow and never saw a ranger. 5 hour round. It was really cheap so we’ll forgive the shortcomings.
Highly Recommended
The Course was Very well kept actually Exceptional considering other courses I’d play! The Price was Great and can’t wait to play again.
Great layout
Will be back to play the other 9 , loved the course. Greens were a little slower than other courses in the area. Enjoyed the round
