Spring Golf! Photo submitted by Sshipper on 03/09/2022
Outstanding Course
Outstanding course, fairways and greens in excellent shape. Challenging holes that score with well placed shots. Cart paths are well paved with good landscaping. Beautiful views.
Nice course
Played Dogwood and Azalea and both courses were in excellence conditions. Greens are fast. Slow past some days because they have lots of big groups coming to play and of course those guys they take it very seriously to win a few bucks so they slow down the past. Today, we had to wait at every holes. Took us 5hto play. No Marshall on the courses. Oh well!!! That’s golf some days!
Say Please……..
Got to course early so I had cup of coffee on porch. I checked in prior to coffee and told the guy working behind counter Id come in later on to get my 2 small bags of range balls. When I finished my coffee I went in pro shop and asked for 2 practice bags of balls. 30 in each bag. But the guy behind the counter, older guy guy asks me am I forgetting g anything. I said no I think I’m good. He said to me didn’t anyone ever teach you to say please? I said I’m 63 and alls I’m asking is if I can have 2 bags of practice balls. And what do you say afterwards? I said alls I need is 2 bags of range balls. And he persisted at telling me I should say please. I thought that was very messed up and I was about to go off on him. So that non sense needs to stop at that courses check in counter real soon!!!!! I’m 63 and I don’t need a 73 year old telling me to say please!!!!!!!!
Very nice course
We played Dogwood and Azalea courses and they were in excellent condition. Will play there again for sure.
Great course
I enjoy playing this course every time I can. It was in very good condition, except for several sand bunkers. The greens were excellent and rolled smoothly. I highly recommend playing here!
SLOWEST round in years
If the course allows the lead group to take 2 hours and 20 minutes to play 9 holes, you are headed for trouble!
Paul at the bag drop blamed it on the fact that it was "couples day". Really!! ! Could you be any more sexist.
Over 5 hours to play is unacceptable.
Great Value
Course in very good condition. Staff was friendly. Overall great bang for the buck
Solid Option
Played Brunswick Plantation today for the first time. I chose it basically because it was the cheapest tee time I could find. I paid $55 and thought it was a good value. It had rained really hard this morning. But the course was in pretty good shape considering that. The bunkers were essentially not playable. But very few wet spots other than that. The fairways and tees were in good shape. And the greens were in really good shape. I felt like the Azalea 9 in general was in touch better shape than Dogwood. The Dogwood 9 was first and had a good deal of water in play. And a couple holes where the water crossed the fairway right where a good drive would land. Had I played the course before I may have made some different options off the tee. The Azalea 9 didn’t seem to have as much water in play. Both 9s feature several doglegs and a good bit of bunkers. But they weren’t playable today. Overall I enjoyed the course and would go back. The biggest complaint is pace of play was a touch slow. 4.5 hours for 18. And we did a good bit of waiting each hole. But definitely worth a play at the current rates.
EXCELLENT CONDITIONS
We played Dogwood & Azalea and the courses were in excellent conditions. Will play there again for sure, especially that we are staying in a condo on the Dogwood course. Worth the money for sure.
Nicest greens played so far
Enjoyed playing the course tho play was somewhat slow. Greens were challenging and in great condition
Good value
Greens in great shape. Course was a nice layout and in pretty good condition. Would play again. Great price too.
Nice day at Brunswick
Surely, one of the best ratio quality/price of Myrtle Beach area !
