A Fair Test of Golf
A fair test of golf. Nice layout. Would recommend playing here when visiting North Myrtle Beach.
Great layout, good greens
Good course, great expericnce, Would like to play again.
Brunswick Plantation
Relatively open course with nice fairways and great pace of play. Rough does penalize but is playable; the greens roll true. Would definitely play it again.
Very nice golf course
I played Azelea and Magnolia. Azalea was in very good shape. Fairways greens and tee boxes were very nice. We were a twosome. The foursome in front of us let us play through. We breezed along. Our back nine was Magnolia. This nine has a few minor issues with crabgrass. Still not bad. Play was a little slower. But we finished 18 holes in just over 4 hours. All in all, it was a pleasant experience. I recommend this course.
Awesome time!
Course has a great layout and was in great shape! Would definitely play again!
guest not welcome
there is very little ettiquette on this course slow players don't let faster groups thru.
Great Course
The course was in excellent shape! I love playing these courses! If you are in Brunswick County you MUST play these courses, also what a great staff and pro shop. We were treated like top golfers although we are not.
Ps the food was hot and the beers were cold!
review
Played Dogwood/Azalea. Course was in good shape, greens were very nice, moderate speed and ran true. Except for the very slow 3 some ahead of us we still finished in 4 hours 15 minutes. Pro shop attendees need some training to be friendlier and not so stoic.
Great time in Calabash
My brother and I played Azalea and Magnolia. Fairways and ruff in good condition. Some greens had burnt spots. The greens where receptive to balls and rolled true and fast. Pace of play was good and only had to wait 3 times for groups in front. Played in little over 4 hrs. We would come back. Paid $40.00 on golfnow. (Reg. $80.00 @ course).
Great Course at a great price
Played on short notice on Hot Deal...Have played several other courses in area with mixed emotions but REALLY liked this one. Course had just enough challenge to keep me fully engaged while not being overly abusive to my wife who joined me on the round.
Course layout was very nice with good conditions on both of the nine hole layouts we got to play that day. (Magnolia & Dogwood)
Nice 19th hole bar/grill area although we didn't get to enjoy it after round due to other commitments.
Will definitely return later this year with friends coming in from out of state.
Gone Golfin'
Had a blast playing Brunswick plantation. They have 3 nine hole courses which were all in great shape. Playing pace was just right - never waited, never pushed. Greens were firm, fast. Challenging from tee to green. Staff was courteous. I would recommend Brunswick Plantation.
Not bad
Great value on the hot deal. Was looking for a cheap round in the afternoon for my first round of week. Course was in pretty good shape and I basically had the place to myself. In my opinion I just think there are a ton of better courses to play.
NIce Course
I will be back again soon. Good course in a great area.
Great Par 4's
72-Yr old, 8-handicap, from the Blue Tee Boxes, loved hitting mid to long shafted clubs to these par 4's; after adding an extra club due to humidity I did fine with an 84--this included 2 3-putts.
Great conditions on a great layout
Course is in great shape for the end of June. Greens have bounced back very well from aeriation. Pace of play was outstanding. Practice area in great shape. Great Day.
Nice course
Course was in good condition except for a few greens that had minor bare spots.
I was a little disappointed in the service. Specifically I had to wait about 10 minutes for someone to check me in, and, even though I was there early, I actually had to ask the guy for a cart to make my scheduled tee time. Minor stuff.
Wasn't busy- I completed the round in 3 1/2 hours. Overall a good experience.
Good course, great value
The course was nice and enjoyable to play. I would recommend the course. Definitely worth playing.
fun in the son
we had fun playing this course, it was a family outing. the course was in great condition, better than the other courses we played in the area. staff was very friendly and helpful
Nice Time in North Carolina
We had just played another course in North Carolina and after reading a few reviews decided to book it.
We were all glade we did, started at 5pm and were done at 7:45. Course has some water, but there is room to play away. Greens were great and the staff was helpful. I think you will like it!
Not a bad course for the price
Needed a little work around the greens but for the most part it was fair course for the money.
