Amazing course
Sequoyah National GC remains my favorite course within an hour drive of Waynesville, NC. Sweeping vistas await you on almost every hole. Generous fairways of dormant grass, but it still gave us beautiful lies in the fairway. Very large greens deceivingly hard. Shorter holes give you diabolical greens with only about 6 that are straight forward. Others have skinny shelves & up to 3 levels on some greens. What a challenge! Bring extra balls, because if you fall off the wide fairway, you ball will probably be on a steep hill & in thorns. Still, this course has incredible beauty! Don't miss it!
Mountain Golf not to be missed!
Great views, awesome layout, defintely, worth a trip to Cherokee. Go now before they start charging $150/round in Spring/Summer.
This is a must play
For the views and difficulties don't let the 6500 yardage from the back fool you. It's a challenge and ext fun. Every hole is different with lots of elevation changes, greens with a lot of u undulations. Miss the green in the wrong spot can be penalizing g. The back tees have 3 par 3s over 210.
With 4 other tees it's a joy for all levels. The beauty and scenes can not be beat. You'll find yourself taking photos as you're playing for sure. If I lived close I'd play every day
My photos don't do it justice
You should See Sequoyah
Fun and challenging golf course with beautiful views.
Beautiful
This course was in fantastic shape for end of January. Greens rolled great and fairways were easy to hit from. You can get in trouble off the tee because there is not a lot of room to miss. This is my second time playing and I’m looking forward to going back again.
This course is over priced. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone who has never break 80 in their entire life from the tips of any golf course.
Harrah’s winter golf.
Hard course but beautiful, even in the winter! Amazingly immaculate. We’ve been in spring and summer. Fairways and greens are stunning
Beautiful course
Had a fantastic experience. Course carves thru unspoiled mountains with some of the best mountain views in North Carolina. Challenging yet playable. Accuracy off the tee paramount. Rewards good shots and punishes wayward shots as all great courses do. Golf course conditions were excellent with well maintained fairways and greens. A must play in western North Carolina.
Great course horrible pace!!!
No round of golf should take 6 hours but on this day that’s what it took. Some staff was great and helpful other staff was rude. Ran out of range balls multiple times. Massive backup on front and back nine. Course should have offered compensation for the miss managed tee times.
Six hour pace
Brutal six hour pace, finished 14 miserable holes of wait g with three groups on many holes. Frost delay but poorly handled by the course, not one ranger
Sequoyah National Golf Course
Awesome course you if you get a chance to play this course. Well worth the money. Very hole was in great shape from tee box to green.
Beautiful course, a must play if in the area
This course has beautiful views, it is quite challenging for a mid range- handicapper, and
it will test your game. Worth a trip.
Don't lose out on playing Sequoyah
The day started great with hitting some balls on the range with a cozy fire started in a campfire closely. Views were just incredible with late fall colors still vibrant. The course was tough to play for the first time. I had the great fortune to play with a couple of members who were friendly and willing to provide some insight on how to play certain holes. The par 4 15th hole was breathtaking with a significant drop from tee to fairway to green. Wish I could have gone back and played again. Overall, the course is exceptionally well kept, lots of interesting character for each hole. I will play again for sure. Also, please know that you have the opportunity to benefit the local community by staying close by or dining, etc. as the area is still recovering from hurricane Helene.
Beautiful
Great course, especially if you get a discounted price like I did on Golf Now. Fun!
Amazing
Incredible course conditions with unbelievable views!!!
