Sequoyah National Golf Club
About
Nestled in the heart of the Great Smoky Mountains, Sequoyah National Golf Club is surrounded by mature oak and fir trees. Owned by the Eastern Band of Cherokee, the course is routed through flowered valleys that provide a colorful complement to the surrounding mountain views. It feels peacefully secluded but it is conveniently located less than an hour from Asheville. Robert Trent Jones Jr. designed the layout. The rolling terrain guarantees a range of different elevation changes but there are also some flat holes. The golf course is a tough test, offering several forced carries over water and severe dogleg fairways. The sloped greens are no easy feat either. Proper club selection and accurate approach shots will be generously rewarded. Sequoyah National also offers an expansive practice area with a driving range and putting and chipping greens.

Sooo beautiful!
The views around this course are soooo beautiful, the golf doesn’t even matter! Golf shop check-in wasn’t very friendly, but the starter was. Lots of maintenance crews around the course, which is very well maintained. Lots of ball marks on the greens. Pace of play was just a little slow. I guess non-golfers or beginners play here for the beauty. Great mountain course that doesn’t beat you up! We need to play here more often!
Incredible
I am from SW Louisiana and this was my first time playing a mountain course. Absolutely stunning. Wow. Highly recommend and well worth the price. Conditions are spectacular. Layout is fantastic. Can’t wait till our next trip to play it again!
Great Mountain Golf
Second time playing Sequoyah National. Got a great deal on GolfNow ($100), their rack rate for a Saturday afternoon usually is $225+. Lots of rain in the area lately so range was mats (and irons) only, and the course was cart path only. Played our round in 5 hrs 15 min, foursomes were littered in front & behind us. Course conditions were really solid. Typical public course stuff (ball marks unfixed, divots unfilled, etc.). Everyone we interacted with was super friendly & helpful.
Great mountain golf course with stunning views, will be back again!
Nice
I was able to get a deal though golf now at $85.00 this golf course was worth every penny of that
Highly recommend if you can get a good rate on GN
Pristine condition; excellently maintained; beautiful views. True mountain course. hope to play again while I'm in the area.
This course is one of my favorites
Always in excellent shape. Not an easy course if you spray the ball but definitely worth the time.
Mountain golf
Absolutely stunning piece of property. Almost every hole is picturesque. Only negative I have is the parking lot and club house are tiny for such an expensive golf course. Should have bought a yardage book to gauge yardage. Not knowing the course and what laid unseen hurt me. #15 drop in elevation is deceptive. The tips do not hurt shorter hitters.
Great as always
Course was in fantastic shape, fairly fast greens, rolling true. Views are amazing. Staff is friendly. But if I have to hear Hank give the same speech one more time, I might jump off a cliff. Literally the same every time!
Great Course
Always great to play this course. Challenging shots and greens. Everything was in excellent shape, greens smooth and rolling great. Fairways like carpet.
Amazing views and fun course
Amazing course with the beauty of the mountimas around. Course is not long, but elevation changes make for a challenge with very unique holes. Slower play because if you miss the fairway, takes a bit of time to look for your ball down a hill or in some roughagez so expect a bit more time than the norm for your round. Fun course and will come back for more.
Great course
An exceptionally well-maintained course. The elevation changes, combined with the stunning, ever-present views of the Smoky Mountains, are truly humbling.
So slow I didn't finish
Not happy that after over 3 hours we only finished 22 holes and had to quit. No rangers and many twosomes.
Favorite course but
Play was so slow we couldn't finish. Too many 2 some and slow players without rangers to speed everyone up and combine twosomes. We played 12 holes in over 3 hours before having to quit. If I'm paying 80-90
To Play in off season rates, like to know I could finish.
Great course and layout for better players. Low to mid you're gonna lose a lot if balls.
Paradise!
By far, one of the best courses in the United States!
Golf, with views you could make your screensaver.
Sequoyah is without a doubt one of the best golf courses! I’ve played here in summer, fall and winter. The views never disappoint. Even in winter, it’s breathtaking. Now onto the golf. Immaculate conditions from tee box to greens. Challenging yet fun, You’ve got some holes that you can go for it and then a couple that for me a bogey is win.
Highly Highly recommend.
Amazing Views
Unbelievable views. Amazing layout. Easily my favorite course I’ve ever played.
