Great layout with plenty of challenges
Awesome staff especially Gordon and Buzz. The course may not be in the condition of its heyday but still very playable with good turf management and really good greens. Bring your game as several holes will test your skills. 18 is a beast of a hole and can turn a good round into one you may wish to forget. I would be remiss to forget our cart girl who restocked our favorite beverage and came back to take care of us. Just wish I remembered her name. I'll just call her Legacy. She upholds the course namesake.
Great Course
I live in Myrtle Beach and play 4 times a week at many different courses. This course is wonderful. It was in great shape, the greens rolled true, and the fairways were great. Definitely worth the money. I played Pinehurst the day before, and it was on par with nu.ber 5. I enjoyed the layout, for it was scenic and presented good risk vs. reward challenges. I will be back.
Great course, great hospitality
Played Legacy for the first time, what a great course with wonderful views.
Tee’d off just before 8.00 am, 3ball, got round in 3hours 20 mins.
Great hospitality in pro shop & bar with very reasonably priced merchandise. Will definitely be back, and would highly recommend.
Legacy
Courteous upon arrival with bag staff and pro shop. Pace of play was great on the front nine. Ran into a foursome on #9 that never offered for us to play through even though there was a significant gap between them and the group in front of them. Made for delays on every hole. Great course though so we just enjoyed it.
Us kids golf practice rounds were being played. We did not play because it would have taken 5 or 6 hours to play the round. Golf now should do the right thing and reimburse all fees. Otherwise, I'm out $140.00.
Aerating
I came here expecting it. Honestly wasn’t too bad. Grill staff messed up my order twice. But over all it was a decent day of golf. I wish people openly advertised the whole aerating thing. Staff was cool about it all.
They punched green
They punched green recently not recovered at all. Golf now should notice that for golfers. Fairways are not as good as I expected. Layout is pretty good.
36 holes at Legacy
All good
Food between rounds really good
Remodel of Pro shop and eating area very good change
Starters and rangers really enjoyable
Great day!
Great Course - As Always
Our group has played Legacy several times and we always enjoy it. It plays very fair and the greens run true. Fairways were in good shape. It is not the most challenging course, which makes it a good one for the first day of an outing.
Great course
The only issue I saw was that they greens had just been top dressed so there was quite a bit of sand on them, though they were still rolling true and quite fast. Always like playing this course always and great shape and a good play for the value
Awesome!
First time playing this course and easily the best course for value. Friendly staff and great course. Club house being updated and I’m sure it will be even better once that’s done! Thanks for a great round!
Legacy
Course layout challenging. Excellent condition,; fairways over seeded. Always play the course when in area. Highly recommend it.
Resort Golf
Legacy has a lot of the hallmarks of a resort golf course as it winds through the trees. Fairways are pretty wide, not too much sand, some room to miss on either side though if you spray wide you're probably punching out of trees. Greens reminded me of old basement carpet as they were grainy and inconsistent,. Whole course is over-seeded and patchy right now. Bring your draw if you're a righty as there are several R-L doglegs.
Pace of play was slow as I was trapped alone between large groups, so it took me 4:40 to play as a single. There are several blind shots and they could use bells or carts with GPS to show where folks in front of you are before hitting into them.
In this area you can obviously do better, but it's a pretty decent value course. Would be a good course for golfers looking to have a good time in a group rather than a serious game as better golfers may find it a bit vanilla.
Winter Golf - Legacy
Braved the elements to play in mid-February- 40 degrees- but great course nonetheless. Wonderful staff and the marshall gave us great tips about the course. Excellent condition for this time of year! Large greens that were super fast and unforgiving. Ready to play again soon! Worth the 40 minute drive from Fayetteville!
Pa weather in NC
Actually surprised the course was open with the amount of rain and windy conditions, but hey what the heck I’ll play in anything. The course layout and overall conditions for winter were very good. Only real issue was a group of 4 or 5 groups playing in front of us rather slow. Thought the starter could have left us go off. The back nine seeing there were only about 20 cars in the parking lot. I look forward to play the course again in better weather conditions.
Good Value for money
Overall, I thought course was in great condition for this time of year. One green on back nine was in bad shape, but greens rolled well. Club house is under renovation, only downside to the day, however drink/food cart was on the course non stop. Hot deal of the day, only 35 dollars. Would recommend to everyone.
