Spray painted goat ranch
$60 a round for this track is absurd. Not in good shape. Greens are ok, but everything is neon green and beat to dirt.
Great day in the Sandhills
The course was in great shape for wintertime golf. Fairways were nice and the greens were smooth and true. Not much grain in them at all. Bunkers were well maintained and had been groomed that morning? Weather was superb and the camaraderie was even better! I would recommend the Legacy to anyone who enjoys good courses!

Good selection of available tee times. A great value, beautiful and peaceful course in superb condition.
Play It Now!
This was my first time at the course so wasn’t sure what to expect. Learned that it had just been bought by Talamore. Therefore the course was already getting some new renovations (brand new club house, some tee boxes being added, and even a new green under construction, and a halfway house). Overall course was beautiful to play and offered some low risk opportunities to go for it.
Only downside is not having a cart girl during round which was magnified because at the turn the club house was a ways away. This will soon be solved when the halfway house is built.
Coursed charged full price for cancelled round
Pro shop decided to charge full price for a round I cancelled over a week before the tee time. They tried to blame Golfnow even though their point of sale system charged me. Stay clear!
Working to improve
I really enjoyed the layout of the course. You can see that they are working to improve the course, adding new tee boxes and working on the clubhouse. The tee boxes are in need or some TLC. Most are fairly bare from overuse. Some bare spots in the fairways. Not worth the current price. The grass on the range is well used and does not have good area to hit from.
Great for $55
So I used a coupon code from GolfNow to play and got on for $55 each for four of us. I think that was great for the course. Not sure if Id pay $129-159 regular price though. We came during the remodel so couldnt give many stars for off course amenities but they had a converted connex as the golf shop with enough stuff that you would need if you forgot anything. The staff was super friendly and they were kind enough to push our tee time back when one of my guys was late. Overall its great, just not sure if Id pay the regular price. Would definitely go back for $55 a round which apparently is a steal for that course. Not to mention I drove the green on hole 15!
Great day at Legacy
Haven't played the course since last year. Very much improved. Great layout. Paved cart paths big plus. Challenging and fun, used all my clubs.
Great for all skills
We have been out here twice now. The course is in outstanding condition, the greens are well maintained and provide some different looks. The scenery is pleasant. The course is open enough to not frustrate average players and yet create some challenging opportunities for more skilled players. The staff is friendly. They are making some changes which will even make it better. Thanks for a great outing! I highly recommend giving this a try. One of the better, and more reasonable, options in the Pinehurst area.
Pace could be better
There are a lot of improvements going on but the actual playing area is really good. Once everything is finished this will be one of the best tracks around. Pace was slow, honestly mainly due to some US Kids practice rounds, and by US Kids I mean mainly parents holding things up. Still I really like this course and am excited to see the improvements take shape.
Legacy is being reborn
Ok, if you like to complain about things there is plenty to complain about right now. They are working throughout the property so know that it’s a year away from growing in all over the course. The greens are being left alone right now. Recently punched. But, and is a huge BUT, it’s gonna be awesome. Play it now and watch the changes

Played at 1108. Never had anyone behind us, perfect day of golf.
Legacy
The facility is undergoing renovation, with new tees added to several holes, adding length, bunker renovations, changing a the 16th to a very long par 4 and changing the 18th from an impossible par 4 into a risk reward par 5. With all the work and changes the facility is a year or two away from being worth what they are now charging for greens fees under the new ownership.
Making good upgrades
The course is beautiful and the renovations are making it even better. While the clubhouse is under renovation there is a good food truck.

So the course conditions are definitely worth playing at this time? I have a tee time booked in a couple weeks for a golf trip and am trying to decide if I want to keep it. I know construction is going on. Does that affect play? Do they sell any food/snacks or have a cart girl? Thanks in advance for any info you provide!
