From Wowed to becoming horrible
I have loved Maggie Valley Golf for many years back when Dawton was the golf manager. But last year it wasn’t WOW i am so glad I am playing this awesome course. I gave it a pass because of Covid-19 although a year later and its now getting so bad that I will no longer waste my time or money playing here. It’s like the management decided to keep all the profits and not reinvest into the course. Tee boxes are shaggy carpet and greens as so bad that a month after aeration they won’t heal back as they normally would have healed. They are charging more money for a sub-par product.
Funny thing is as Maggie Valley gets worse each year Springdale golf gets better and better. I look forward to how Laurel Ridge improves now that the owners of Spring Dale just purchased them. I sure wish they would BUY Maggie Valley so they can save their reputation before they become just another smokey mountain golf crap course.
Greens recently aerated
With greens being recently aerated, it was almost impossible to putt on the greens. There should have been discounted rates for this I believe.

Great course. Need a ranger on duty circulating around course to speed up play. Beautiful views
CANCELLED Due to frost delay
The course was closed for the entire day, therefore we were able to play this course on that particular day. How can we get a refund or at a minimum a credit? The one star rating is only because we were not able to play. Never made it to the course. We were told over the phone that the course was closed and would not open. We would need to request a refund through Golf Now.
Great Mountain Course
As a single I was paired up with some great guys and the course was in great shape. Highly recommend playing it!
Good golf atmosphere
Fun to play. Recommend easy-to-find yardage markers for folks new to the course.
OK course, but really overpriced..........
Apparently, golfers in the Haywood County area are used to paying high prices to play golf. I was expecting a spectacular course for what I paid, but it is very average. I won't be back........
Terrible experience
Terrible experience. Pace of play is excruciating slow. 5 players in front of us with a group of 4 hitting down on us from behind. Staff was friendly, the other players are not. Greens were nice.
Highly recommend
Course is always in great shape. Front 9 is in valley and flat while the back nine has elevation changes. Love the variety. We visit the area every summer and this is our favorite course to play. Staff is very friendly and accommodating.
