About Falconhead Resort & Country Club
The Falconhead Resort & Country Club made a splash in the 1950s and early 1960s by hosting tournaments on both the PGA Tour and LPGA Tour on its Robert Trent Jones Sr. course, putting Burneyville on the map for golfers. The LPGA Tour’s “Opie Turner” from 1958-59 and PGA Tour’s “Waco Turner Open” from 1960-64 only had short stints on their respective tours. The 6,488-yard course ranked among the top six in Oklahoma by GolfPass users from 2016-18. The resort includes a 16-room lodge and a cabin for overnight stays. Tennis courts, a season outdoor pool and bar/lounge area are also available. Hundreds of homes occupy the resort community.Facts

Overall layout is good. However the fairways are in need of mowing. You could lose a ball in places in the middle of some fairways. There was no cart beverage or food svc. On course and no working water fountains or water jugs on Amy holes. Greens were above avg in condition with only a few that had rough spots. First time play the course in 10 yrs and I remember it being about the same.
MUCH IMPROVED!
Last played a couple of years ago. They have worked very hard to improve fairways and greens. Always has been a friendly staff and now the course is fun to play again. Thanks for all the hard work that has gone into this course. Will play everytime I'm in this area. About 10 miles west of Marietta,Ok. Enjoy this course if you are ever in this area.
nice features , view of the lake and wildlife was very cool
Definitely worth the dollars course was in good condition , several of the pin placements provided a very good challenge. Bunkers need some sand replacement but no big deal.
Pleasant Saturday in Oklahoma
Very enjoyable round-- was a bit windy but wanted to take advantage of the nice weather. Course is starting to come around--- finally some green grass to hit off of. Greens were a tad hard and bouncy-- not moist enough to really hold a shot. Friendly easy going staff--- never have a problem with getting off especially after all the members get their groups out and off the tee. Fun little course.
Good value, good course
First time playing here, very friendly staff, great course.
very challenging course
Not my first time playing on this course, but will continue to return due to the friendly staff and great course. The greens are normally super, but with the drought there was some minor issues which I'm sure will be corrected.
