Salishan Coastal Lodge & Spa is located on the Oregon coast overlooking Siletz Bay less than a two-hour drive from Portland. This 205-room lodge dates back to 1965 and features an 18-hole golf course that was renovated in 2004 by Peter Jacobsen and Jim Hardy. The golf club also has a grass putting course and full driving range. Salishan has a full-service spa onsite as well as a tennis center, fitness center and indoor pool. Another unique amenity is the nearby aerial park set high up in the trees. There are four onsite restaurants ranging from casual to fine dining and there is also a wine cellar. Room types include traditional guestrooms and larger suites and deluxe rooms. Each unit also includes a private balcony, refrigerator, fireplace and more.Facts

1st time playing golf course
Mid morning tee time, weather was clear with blue skies,
Course was wet from earlier morning conditions with the 9am tee time. Rnjoyed playing and fairways were very forgiving and wide enough to keep shots in play, if not plenty of hazards of heavy growth of forest and brush,
Nice variety of different type holes requiring different shot selections.
Salishan
$20 a piece to have a cart is a bit steep. If I didn’t get a discounted tee-time it would have been to expensive to play there. Butt… a beautiful setting for a course and in good shape. Perhaps a discount for folks who live in the county.
Fun Course
Had a great round. Course was in good shape. Lots of bunkers, trees and views. Good at the turn was excellent!
Great course
The course is in great shape, is well laid out, good verity and interesting layout! Everything was in really good shape. We played on a Saturday and the pace of Play was really good....about 3.5 hours. Restaurant was great!
I am used to CA and AZ rates and was very happy with the cost and overal experience!
really nice place to play golf
Salishan does it right. We stayed there last year and loved it. Back in the area last weekend, I decided to squeeze 9 holes at Salishan. I only got thru the front, but very nice, challenging but fair, greens just ok...slow. The back nine looks really fun, I need to go back and play 18!!
fun on oregon coast

Fun, challenging coastal course
Salishan is a challenging course with a good variety of holes and elevation changes. Walkable but a workout, would definitely play it again. Not a course for beginners.
Not worth the money
I paid $127 on golf now for me and my wife to play 18. When we got there we paid for a cart as well. We were 5 minutes late to the tee and they made us wait an hour to tee off with 2 others. The greens weren't rolling great. We played 8 holes and left. Because i booked through golf now i couldn't get money back or a voucher to come back and play on a later date. I've played other courses at a third of the cost and those courses are in way better shape. It's definitely not worth the money!! And don't book through golf now, they are horrible.
