About Pocono Manor Resort & Spa
Life changed at Pocono Manor on Nov. 1, 2019, when a fire ripped through the historic inn, causing significant damage that's led to an ongoing closure. Although there are plans to renovate and rebuild, only the golf course is currently open. Currently, golfers looking to stay and play the historic course can book accommodations at nearby partner properties through the resort website. There is food available in the clubhouse.Facts

The course was in good shape great layout a lot of fun friendly staff
Pocono Manor
Staff very friendly. Course in good shape. Fun layout . Pretty open.
Fun course !
Every hole is different
A challenging open track, with a bunch of one of a kind holes, the highlight is the 77 yard par 3 7th hole with its hundred foot drop off. Some very tricky greens (4, 6, 9 will turn your hair white) and the ultimate blind shot on 16, where if you have the skill and the guts, you can drive the green.
I’ve never seen anyone do so.
A must play in the area.
No Marshals
Some beautiful holes and some silly holes, be prepared to hunt for your ball. Lots of blind shots and greens. Overall the staff was friendly. Got stuck behind 2 groups of 8. Watched them tee off in front of the club house and no one did anything or cared. Should have asked for a refund before teeing off. The over 3 hours to play the first 9 holes while waiting on every hole sucked any fun out our round of golf. Hope the experience is better for others but I will not be returning. When I asked about a Marshal I was told he’s on vacation. (No one else can drive a golf cart???)
Fairways
I hope there are plans to put irrigation on the course. The fairways were very dry and hard. The greens are in good shape however, why did they sand dresss them again?
minor changes needed
great old course, some strange designed holes, but very playable.. the biggest complaint is with the senior tees. most all of them are right next to and on the same box as the ladies tees.. i play with a foursome of senior men. we dont need to be playing from the ladies tees. why dont they have a box somewhere between the white tees and the ladies.. its not like they dont have the room to put one. other than that it is still a nice place to play.
Quaint local “Resort”
Thank you Golf Now. Visited the Pocono Mountain area for a golf vacation. Had no idea what we would find. Had several suggestions but turned to Golf Now. This is a little gem, kind of rough on the outside, older facilities. But wow what a great track, well maintained, layout was friendly (lots of trees so if you are directionally challenged it is a challenge). Loved the 77 yard hole! Very few blind holes.
As quirky as it gets
Had never played here before an we gave it a try on 7/10. The setting is beautiful. As a golf course, it's something unique, strange, bizarre and unexpected. First of all, the fairways and greens are like cement. You can hit a crummy shot and when the ball comes to rest you think that it was a good shot. Par 5s become driver and 9 iron to get on in 2. There are 2 par 3s on the front where you cannot even see the green from the tee and they are short holes. Knowing where to place your shot is key here. Some of the greens are super small. This is goofy golf at it's best and if you like that kind of stuff, you will enjoy this course. For me it's not the kind of course I like where luck has more to do with the results than skill.
