About Pocono Manor Resort & Spa
Life changed at Pocono Manor on Nov. 1, 2019, when a fire ripped through the historic inn, causing significant damage that's led to an ongoing closure. Although there are plans to renovate and rebuild, only the golf course is currently open. Currently, golfers looking to stay and play the historic course can book accommodations at nearby partner properties through the resort website. There is food available in the clubhouse.Facts

Poor conditions
Had a two forty tee time, arrived at two pm but was not allowed to go out early, this despite the fact that the course was empty!
After playing the west course I saw why it was empty.
If clover is your thing then go to pocono manor!
The course is long and challenging, and FUN!!!!
The course is long and challenging, course would be too difficult for average Golfers if there were sand bunkers, as there are no bunkers on the course.
some holes had greens that were not so good
played in afternoon with grandson course was not busy so it was a great time to play.
good course
good condition hole 7 wasnt open again overall course in good shape
Great for inexpensive place to play.
The course is wide open and somewhat bland - no traps/hazards. Disappointing that there are no placards at the tee boxes with yardage and hole diagram, and skimpy on the ball washers. Overall though, the afternoon hot deal makes it a great opportunity to practice.
The course has an interesting layout but needs some attention.
We played on Sunday in just under four hours. Course design on the East is interesting but some of the cart paths are rough, some of the greens are in deep trouble, and some of the tee boxes were unkempt. It was wet and the greens held very well, the speed was average. Most of the lies I got were good and none had to be relieved for course condition (except on the green). We found the staff to be reasonably courteous and accommodating. It is thankfully cooler there but there were some mosquitoes so bring repellent. We enjoyed our experience and will be back.
Disgraceful to not enforce Pace of Play on this great and historic golf course.
5 hour round, not good and preventable. There were multiple and significant violations of, and lack of enforcement of, some fundamentals of the USGA Rules of Golf by golfers in front. Rule breaches included pace of play, safety and etiquette. This prompted a required phone call to the Pro Shop for assistance. The first call (hole 12) produced no effective results and we saw no Golf Ranger. The second call (hole 13) began with an unusual failure/refusal to understand what "...hole number thirteen on the West Course..." meant, as I was letting them know where our current location was on the course. Again, no effective results and we saw no Golf Ranger.
Fix this problem and this historic course would make for a great round of golf.
Time of Play was Too Long.
The fairways were nice but some of the Greens needed serious work. The Starter needed to get people moving. too may backups on the tees. Not the best course for Fast Play.
overbooked
usually afternoon tee time is less crowded but it was well overbooked and the foursome in front of us spent over 10 min looking for their balls after going right off the tee. they did not let us play through and no ranger to tell them to pick up the pace had a 2:40 time didnt get on 1st tee till 3:15 got done 18 at 8pm.
Excellent value
The course is in average shape, some tee boxes could use some attention. The staff was friendly, able to get right out enjoying the views. I would play this course again.
WEST IS LONG !!!
LONG COURSE / PRETTY SMALL GREENS/ TOUGH COURSE WITH WIND, .. THEY NEED A HALFWAY HOUSE/ MORE RESTROOMS/ CART GIRLS
Good course that seemed well maintained. Greens were extremely slow. Somewhat long and very few sand traps which would have made it more interesting
This is a long course with very slow greens the day I played. Somewhat boring with little water and very few sand traps. Worth the great price on golfnow though.
Good Value for weekend play
East course #7 par 3 closed for rework off green. Two other greens had damage but overall course was in good condition.
Well maintained. Great greens. Extremely challanging.
Great value. Played in under 4 hrs. Staff very helpful.
west course
pros: cheap rate, easy to find, no parallel fairways
cons: no short holes, no hazards, slow poana greens
The course is in good condition.
Played the east course and enjoyed it. The tees and fairways are in good condition. There was only one green that was not up to par but I would recommend it.
Course needed maintenance in sevral area
I played on 06/01/2013 and Memorial weekend. 5 hours for memorial weekend and 4 1/2 hours this week. Course is great itself, but needed maintenance.
1. Needed starter and ranger to up keep flow.
2. Needed CLEANUP everywhere garbage dump specially afternoon in tee box.
3. Golf now check in allowed only 10 minutes before starting tee time even we wait one hour both times. needed time to prepare before tee time.
4. They close all buildings before end of player return to club, therefore no where to clean after golf(7:00PM - while sun is high up).
5. Ruff was so high and difficult to find a ball. also, green was so slow with so much fallen leaves.
6. Can not complained for Golfnow rate, but it can be better to improve staff, procedure and maintenance.
I think that still it is worth course(West) with Golfnow rate and recommendable for 7100 yard.
Decent course if you play for a discount
This course features extremely varied elevations - it would be impossible to walk. I paid $25 for a cart and 18 holes and believe that it was worth it. There aren't many hazards except for a few holes. I'd say that about 14 of the holes were in very good shape, the remaining 4 could use some work. The staff was friendly and the pace of place was not a problem. It is also located in a secluded, nice area of the Poconos.
This course is nestled in the pocono mountians
You have two courses to choose from and both of the courses are equally challenging. This is a great place to golf would recommend to anyone!
Great value for a Holiday
I got a golf now deal for 25$ at 7:12am on Memorial Day. The course is in good shape, I have played there over 100 times and it is in almost the best shape I have ever seen in 12 years, except for hole #7. They have been working on that green for a few years and still can't seem to get it right. It used to be good 5-10 years ago. Good luck hitting that green anyway, I still haven't figured it out in 12 years. Fairways, Greens and Tee Boxes were in good shape. Cart paths need some maintenance. The driving range is great, the practice putting green is not so great. Pace of play starting around 7:15 was great (4 hours). I have started this course around 11am / noon and it can get pretty slow. One round here last summer took almost 6.5 hours on a Saturday.
All in all, you get a good experience, an above average golf course at a good value.
