Don’t waste your money!
Got this as a hotdeal for $55($70 regular rate, RIDICULOUS for this place) decided to check it out. I am a very harsh critic when it comes to golf courses, but this place made it easy.
I’ll start with the good, the greens. In good shape, but terribly slow and tiny. If you are not a fan of small greens, DO NOT PLAY HERE.
The tee boxes were in rough shape, mostly on the back, some on front. The rough is full of clover, and the fairways were shaggy. Traps had coarser sand in it and very little of it, felt like concrete.
Pace of play was brutal. We were waiting 10-15 mins to hit our tee shots.
Course layout was, minus a few holes, terrible.
I can say more, but why waste review space. Do yourself a favor, go play somewhere else, unless you have a comp round. Even then, I still would not recommend going to Skydump. Gift the round to someone you don’t like.
Great course with great views
Super friendly staff. unload your bag at drop off and clean clubs at 18. great layout with some long challenging holes. Pace of play was fair, wouldn't blame it on the facility, we got stuck behind a group that didn't seem to care anyone was behind them. Greens were firm and fast fairways were perfect, great place to golf
Beautiful scenery, great staff. At 6400 yards from white tees, course is on the long side for average golfer. Greens small and were not holding approach shots. Had several soft pitches hit middle of green and bounce off back.
Beautiful grounds
The entire grounds were really beautiful, with a nice course layout. Easy course for beginners with some challenges that make for an enjoyable round no matter your skill level.
Great golf course
I love this course, and play it every chance I get. The pro Justin is awesome
Beautiful course and in excellent condition.
Always enjoy golfing this scenic, beautifully maintained course.
Great views at Sky Top
The course has a lot of open areas with great views. Conditions on fairways and greens was very good.
GREAT PLAY
I played this morning... Perfect weather... Course was plush...18 holes in 3:20 minutes with a 9:10 AM Tee-Time. That is unheard of on a Saturday morning. Staff was friendly and welcoming. I would reccomend playing...
Different mountain course
Played many courses in the Poconos, this one was definitely not a usual course for this area. No real elevation changes. Played in late November and the fairways and greens were in good condition.
Open fairways and small greens. Speaking of, the greens were really difficult. Rarely had a straight putt. Lots of sand traps around the green, they were hard but were raked.
Staff was really nice. There was no amenities available. No food, snacks or beverages. I understand COVID procedure but I couldn’t believe they had nothing available.
One major gripe was there was a group of 5 allowed to tee off directly in front of my twosome. There was no ranger to speed up play. We waited every single tee until 16 when we finally were able to play through.
Aside from that, solid course and I’d play again in warmer weather.
Great time
My wife & I enjoyed ourself. The staff was very friendly & helpful
Hidden Gem
Great course, setting, design, and experience. Walk into another Century when you play this course and that is not a bad thing. It was late fall and the tee boxes were very choppy, but a good experience nonetheless
