Fun times
The course was in good shape. The balls were easy to find in the ruff so it didn't hold up play.
Good Warm up course
Interesting little course with two different 9's. Front 9 gives you a nice opportunity to warm up to the course, fairly open and flat. The back 9 tightens up and has much more elevation changes. The shorter distance helps give a confidence boost to start off the season. Price through golf now is very reasonable. Only complaint I have is the tee boxes are hardly flat, hard to find a nice lie to tee up.
Must play!
Great course with great people! If you haven't played SVGC then you are truly missing out! Get there
Hard as a Rock
Never my favorite course. Take a lot of golf balls. Several goofy holes. Course not happy if you use GolfNow - Probably won't go back this year. Or at least until it softens up a bit. Don't even think of walking this course on the back 9 especially.
Tuesday at Spring Valley
Fun course...very unique. Love to play it at least a few times a year. The only problem is that I lose too many balls!
Very friendly family facility!
It was our first time back to this course since an overnight stay in 2012. I don't know why we didn't get back until now. The owners were friendly (as always) The course has some very interesting and challenging holes, especially #s 4,10, 12, and 16. The only (minor) issue was that a few of the greens seemed to be slower than the others.
Great back nine
I keep coming back. Fun back nine up and down the hills.
I'll play here again
Our foursome played Spring Valley when the course was still being groomed from the harsh winter we had, thus I can't comment on the condition of the fairways and greens. The 18 hole layout was very unusual and challenging. Th first 3 holes are nothing special, BUT the third and tenth holes have surprising green locations - surprising but fun. There's a 250+ yard hole that is all uphill! You really should try this course - it is not boring!
