Very nice course
This is a beautiful course. The folks were very nice and the food was delicious. We will stay and play on our next pass this way.
My only beef is that there is no slope and rating for women playing from the white tees so I cannot post my score.
I’ll be back.
Loved this place. Hotel room, buffet breakfast, practice area were top notch. The slow play was probably due to wet conditions and cart path only restrictions.
A Great Day
The weather was very mild for December and allowed for a great day of golf. The course was cartpath only, but in very nice shape. We were able to finish our round in under four hours.

Cart brought to your car and picked back up at the end is another example of why their service isn’t second to none. The starter helped look for my ball after I hit into the trees on hole 9. He was the one that found it.
Pace of play
Excellent course well maintained. The only complaint I had was that they let to many si goes out on course and then we’re continuing about us holding people up even though we let 5 singles play thru.
Toftress
The course was in excellent condition considering the amount of rain from Hurricane Ida. While the course was difficult I thought that it was fair. Fairways were generally wide and distance to trees were general not close either.
There were plenty of tees to choose depending on your level of play.
Course is well maintained
Fast pace with no one slowing us up or pushing us. Finished 18 in 3-1/2 hours. Best maintained course in central Pa

My favorite course in State College. However it’s a bit pricey for the area. They cater to visitors mostly.
Waste of Money
Booked in as a single, got paired with another single and it was a good pairing. We were told to start from the back to play faster, about 2 holes in on the back a couple course members decided to jump in front of the group we were playing behind and move at a snails pace. At no point was there a ranger out on the course to monitor the pace of play and it took our 2some nearly 2.5 hours to finish the back 9 on what appeared to be a golf course that was not very busy. After making the turn to move to the front 9 we were greeted by a new starter, when we explained our situation this employee laughed in our faces and told us we would be lucky if they let us tee off for the front 9. After a little push back we were told we could tee off for the front, but were treated as if we should be grateful for getting to play the rest of the 18 holes we paid to play. We were allowed to tee off behind another 4some, 2 of which were members getting lessons from club pros. Instead of letting our 2some, who they had pushed on the back and were now out of sync moving to the front, play through we were forced to once again move at a snails pace playing behind a learning group. Anywhere from 5-10 minutes between our shots, this was completely unacceptable and a total waste of money, no other course in this area has these issues, really a below average course for the price paid.
All things considered Good day
No ball washers and no water. Inexcusable. COVID 19 is an airborne virus. 85 degrees 86% humidity. The lack of water is beyond common sense
Wet but still fun
Extensive amounts of rain prior to & during play made conditions challenging. However the course was in good shape considering. The back 9 played better than the front due to higher elevation. All in all I had the course to myself & finished under 3 hours. Will play again , even fun in the rain.
Special day on a lovely course
Can’t say enough about the staff and course. PSU PGM students made it even better. Always helpful.
