Challenging! Photo submitted by erikrabey on 05/25/2014
Gorgeous, challenging course!
I work about 20 minutes away from this course and have always heard great things about it. When I found a great deal from GolfNow, I jumped at the chance to play it. Normally the course is a little more than I like to spend for 18 holes but after playing it, I can see why. This course has some very unique holes including the 14th, otherwise known as the “Gorge” hole. The views are spectacular and even for playing on a wet October day; the course was in pristine condition. This is a great course and I would recommend it to anyone.
overall nice coarse
the par5's are not forgiving .the golfer should be told the yardage to driving distances.. example , distance to a sand trap, distance to carry slope. etc. the rest of the coarse was beautiful. a pleasure to play.
One of the best in the area. Always a great spot to play,
Wet conditions that day. Lots of rain the night before. Did not have any effect on the greens. Fast and true. Cart path only because of conditions made for a longer round otherwise it was a great day on a great course.
Woodloch is a great challenge.
Woodloch is a great course. The variety of holes makes for a very interesting round of golf. The greens are always in excellent condition and are very challenging as is the entire course. The course is in a very remote location and is somewhat hard to reach. Watch out that your GPS may lead you to an entrance that is not real and the inability to take carts to the parking area is a slight nuisance. But once you get to the first tee, you are in for a great treat.
The famous 14th hole is difficult even after you reach the far side of the cavern.
My top rated course
Great course, best in the area. Private country club condition. Super friendly staff, couldn't be any more helpful. If you like mountain courses, don't miss this one. I'll be back !!!
