Excellent Course for the Value
EVERYTHING WAS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION.
WE PLAYED GOLF IN THE AREA FOR 7 STRAIGHT DAYS AND THIS WAS FAR THE BEST COURSE WE FOUND FOR A REASONABLE VALUE.
Great
My only issue was that our tee time was 9:06, we did not get to start until 10:10....19 regulars were there without a tee time and got to start before us....the pace of play was aweful
A great classic layout
A very nice course, I would have rated it higher, but the constant rains experienced in the Carolinas since October have taken their toll on a couple of holes particularly #11. I would like to play it again after it drys out. Very friendly staff and convenient to I-95
Course still has great character as always
1st time playing there in over a year, was in great shape, was delta with promptly when I checked in,started my round on time, course was in great shape from the to green.when traveling through I always try to play this course.
The course has a great layout
I really enjoyed playing the course again. It was not in top condition because of the excessive rains recently and the over seeding of rye grass. But, it was still an enjoyable round of golf. I can't wait to play it again under better circumstances. The layout is fair, but challenging...especially on the back nine. There are numerous bunkers that come into play on most holes.
Fine Course Suffering from Heavy Rains
Heavy rains in the area soaked this course restricting cart use to paths only. There were many wet spots on the fairways that affected play. The good news is that the moisture is causing the winter grass to take root well, and the fairways will soon be in great condition. This is a fine course with a nice variety of hole layouts. The greens are excellent and quite fast.
Close to highway 95 with superb fast greens
First nine is quite plain but second nine is very good and scenic. Course in good conditions with very fast amd high quality greens. Take the time to get a sandwich made for you after 9 holes, they taste great! Solid course close to 95 .
Best Value
My group of 16 played this course 4 straight days from august 12-15. The course is OK, but the greens and the staff make this a great place for a buddies golf weekend. We stayed in the villas, played other courses in the am, and came back here to play a PM round each day. Very pleased.
Great place for the money
Played this course a few times...never disappoints. Greens were in grat shape as were the fairways. Not too tight at all. Par 3's are not extremely long either. The course is easy to get o off I95.
Unable to play
Unfortunately I feel ill and did not get to play the course. I was in the area on vacation and won't be back for a while. Would have loved to played the course.
Great course!
Pretty wide open fairways with challenging approach shots. The greens, fairways, and tee boxes are all in really great shape as well.
Great Afternoon!
We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon at Santee National. Friendly staff and beautiful/peaceful course.
The course is wide and open. Even the paths are nice and not tore up by tree limbs.
Definatley will be back, as we can be there in about 30 minutes from Summerville.
Santee National
Great course for the value. very appealing to the eye from the tee.
god course
course was in average shape . not as nice as it could be
missed the rain
Fast greens, plush fairways. Off fairways were early spring conditions with little or no new growth. Threat of rain and stiff breeze made first nine a bit more challenging
nice course
drove down from Columbia to stay ahead of the rain, first time playing the course, in really good condition. Staff was very friendly, but play was very slow. Had a foursome ahead of us that would not allow us to play through until hole #7. other than that really enjoyed the day and the course. would play it again
Great shape
Played this course is in great shape. Got behind a resort group of 16 so it played a little slow but an overall great time. Tees, fairways and greens were all nice and green and firm. Will be back!!!
Great value
We played Santee National on New Year's day, the drive up from Savannah was well worth it. The course was in pretty good condition, greens, fairways and tee boxes were all in great shape. I will definitely be making the trip up I-95 to play this course again.
Great Course---best in Santee Area
Great track and solid value. The greens were rolling very true...and fast. Rolling hills gave some nice elevation changes--not much, but some. Par 3's were varied and interesting. Like the course a lot.
Great Experience, worth the drive!
This was a round in the winter. The course conditions were excellent. The greens were in great condition, even though the color of the grass had browned with the winter conditions. The fairways had been over-seeded and were beautiful. The weather was awesome for a late December round( short sleeves and shorts!) . It was a great day!
