About Cherokee Valley Course and Club
Cherokee Valley is a private members club available through stay-and-play packages in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The 6,728-yard course was designed by P.B. Dye, who incorporated water features and rolling fairways into its pleasing design. Each cottage for rent is equipped with four separate bed-and-bath suites to ensure private and comfort. A resort-style outdoor pool, fitness center and the new Core 450 restaurant are amenities for all to enjoy.Facts

Challenges abound
A very challenging layout, long from the back tees. Some quirky holes with blind shots and small landing areas. Excellent condition.
Nice course in the foothills
Played here on trip to South Carolina and was pleasantly surprised. Beautiful scenery and a narrow but fair course. Lots of elevation changes and blind holes. Will definitely play there again.
Good course
Pace of play was great, green is fast, couple holes with blink spots. It would be nice to let people know not to hit a long club.
A beautiful mountain course!
I enjoyed this course very much. It offered beautiful scenery, surprising holes with bllind shots, and especially true, fast greens.
The layout was good with every hole offering something different.
I would recommend the course to anyone in the area and plan to visit again when I return.

Course was in poor condition on the front compared to past times played
What a fantastic and fun track
Some tight fairways. Many hills and elevation changes - some pretty dramatic. True rolling hard and fast greens with many undulations and levels.
Challenging up hill mountain course with great views.
Enjoyed our round but it was a challenging course that seemed to be all up hill. Greens are fast and unforgiving so put it close. Great value and we will be back.

Good conditions, fun course, but NEEDS A RANGER!
This is without a doubt one of my favorite courses in the area. I gladly make the 45 minute drive if the price is right. Fairways and tees were in good condition, and the greens were in excellent shape. I heard some rumblings of new ownership, and I hope that doesn't shake things up too much. My only complaint is that there was not a ranger to keep up the pace of play. EXTREMELY slow foursome a few groups ahead made for about a 5-hour round.
Hi covers05 thank you for the feedback. We did come under new ownership this year and we are making many adjustments to improve our pace of play. The course is in excellent shape, come out and play again soon!
Great setting
Challenging course with numerous elevation changes. Pace of play can be a struggle at times but the views of the mountains partially make up for that.
Pro shop staff member seemed to be having a rough day of wax just tired. I always give the benefit of the doubt but still, c'mon. Greens were fast and hard. Overall pretty good shape.

A great way to spend a Sunday with my friends
Course was great greens were fast and we all had a great time . I just need to work on my game Lol.
A have to play if you like a challenge
This is a mountain course that has its challenges. You'll use ever club in your bag and wish you had more. Not for the beginner, although they would love the scenery. Low handicappers will love this course. Mid handicappers may struggle a bit, but should still have a good time.

Great condition and excellent value! Greens were SUPER fast but true and all in great shape. I will definitely be back soon!
Good course
Course in good shape for this time of the year, had quite a bit of play on the day, only negative was greens didn't seem to have been mowed that morning and they had some trash on them and that makes the grain in the grass a lot harder to deal with, but it is understandable for the greens not to be mown this time of the year.
Great layout and views
Even though there were many blind shots every hole was fun to play. Very hilly with multi tiered greens. Greens were in good shape for off season.
Definitely will play again.
