Fun Layout
Highly rated college course. Nice layout and some really interesting holes. A little surprised that all the fairways and rough were still dormant and not over seeded, so don't be surprised by all the brown. Greens were a little inconsistent, but not surprising for March upstate SC.
Setup and course A+++
A little soggy but that’s what happens when it rains about 2 inches fell 2 days before I played. All in all I highly recommend that if you have not played here yet please make the time to do so. The beauty of the course is great with the lakeside views particularly on the back 9 no too mention the course setup that is available to all levels of players with the multiple teebox options. It was a 68 degree day in February so I wasn’t complaining...great place to play golf staff very friendly and welcoming to all golfers.
Super Friendly Staff & Well Maintained Golf Course
From the moment I stepped into the pro shop I could tell I made the right decision for a winter round of golf.
Tommy was behind the counter and managing his responsibilities like the pro he is. He knew his pricing, his customers, his members and was equally prepared to provide them great customer service. It was my first time playing The Walker course and Tommy made me like I was a 25 year member and treated me with respect and consideration. The young lady in the grill was friendly and very efficient and makes a superb BLT. The course was in great condition from tee to green, the greens slick, smooth and quick like a bunny.
My buddy and I thoroughly enjoyed our day at The Walker course and we will return on a warmer and sunnier day.
Nice round of golf
For the prices you have to pay, the pace of play can be a little congested at times especially on Fridays and Saturdays. If you don’t have a complete group of 4, you will be paired with someone else. Overall, it’s a nice course to play every now and then. I won’t pay to play it regularly.
Played the Walker Course
Best course in this area. I will be glad when Covid is gone so everything will be available again.
Great layout and awesome condition for winter golf!
Very hilly!
Lots of blind shots - first timers should use the map on the scorecard as best you can. No GPS on cart so pretty challenging with all the blind carries. Course is in great shape for late November, greens still really fast. Great design.
