Beautiful course. Back nine greens dry.
Loved the pace of play. Fairways and tee boxes above average. Back nine greens dry with water drainage on front of green and mushy conditions short of green, making it tough to hit the greens. Couldn't roll up and couldn't stick the greens either.
My wife really enjoyed
Course is super layout with enough challenge to force target golf; restrooms strategically placed make this course 5 stars in my wife's mind. Friendly and helpful staff; only draw back was practice of double stacking starts so that although we started on 1st tee a 4some my turn off 18 right on our tails and routinely ran their carts to our tee box as we were hitting. Very elderly men in front of us ( god bless WWII VETS that are out playing golf!).
Pine Hills is the better of the two courses
Played palmetto one day and Pine Hills the next. The fairways on Palmetto were is tough shape. Found Pine Hills much better and a bit more interesting..
course had a good variety of holes.
course is well maintained, good layout with some water on holes that can be trouble if you hit a poor shot.
course looked good, well placed bunkers but not overly difficult for the average player like myself.
Staff was very friendly. Was apprehensive on how I would be treated or paired with as a single. I was paired with 3 other singles, we all were of similar abilities as luck would have it. We all had an enjoyable round.
Always a good deal for the price.
Can always count on course being maintained, and a good value at the $40 I paid. At 7,000 yards can be a challenge from tips, but very playable from the whites. I can't afford $100 rounds, so it is one of my 1st choices when I come down.
Great Course and would play again.
I really enjoyed this course. Fairways allow you plenty of opportunity and when you hit them you will be greatly rewarded. I drive the with a lower trajectory. Hitting fairways my drives ended up at 260 to 280. Made approach shots nice. Miss fairways and task is a bit harder. I played on labor day. Pace of play was fine on that day. Perhaps I got lucky. Try it, you will enjoy it.
Nice course
No clubhouse or snack bar at the turn.
Overall nice course.
Good value, great condition
Course was in very good to excellent condition. Greens were rolling well and moderate speed. Moderate amount of hazards but not overly difficult Few wet spots here and there but overall did not effect play. Staff was good. Hard to beat at this price in a tourist mecca
Nice course for $31
This was a really good value for a round of golf. The course is pretty long even from the white tees especially with the wet ground from all of the rain. I had a lot of long approach shots. It reminded me a lot of Arcadian Shores. It's a really well maintained older course that is a good value and fun to play.
this course has great setting
Best value for any course in myrtle beach.fun to play.
Course has nice water holes
The course was in great condition.the price was a surprise for a course this nice.
This course did not live up to the majority of Myrtle Beach courses.
Generous fairways with well bunkered greens. Not much sand in the bunkers. Creative par threes. Some water lined fairways. Ranger was very accommodating to jump us ahead of an extremely slow threesome.
Forgotten Course
Myrtlewood isn't a course you normally hear about when talking about Myrtle Beach golf. We were able to arrange a same morning tee time for $31 so we weren't expecting what we found. When pulling up, the gentlemen at the bag drop would actually walk over to your car to help with items. Clubhouse staff was very friendly. The starter asked if we minded being paired up with a single and spent time talking with us about the course while waiting for the group in front of us. About every other hole, a cart came by offering water from a cooler and saw the "cart girl" 3 times during the round.
The course itself was in fantastic condition. Tee box looked like they hadn't been played in weeks, fairways, rough and bunkers were well maintained and then greens were fast and true. It does play long and on a few of the holes the condos hid the wind. I would gladly play this course again.
Great Course, Great Value
The best course I have played in Myrtle Beach by far! The Palmetto course at Myrtlewood has something for every player because it forces you to use every club in the bag. I will definitely make a return back to Myrtlewood on my next vacation.
Good for the cost
Course was in good shape. Need more visible yardage markers. No hole description at tee box and very poor layout photo on scorecard. Staff very polite and helpful overall good experience except for lack of markers and visual layout.
Great bang for your buck.
Been coming to this course over the years and its always maintained its consistency as a competitive course at a reasonable price.
Great Value but be prepared for a 5hr round!
For the $ it's a great deal if you don't mind a 5hr round. Played Pinehills and it was in great shape... Fairways, rough, tee boxes, bunkers, and greens. I'm not a fan of Bermuda greens but these were very nice.
Super Layout
I played the Palmetto course one of two at Myrtlewood Country Club very nice track challenging holes and great condition highly recommend if you are in the Myrtle Beach area
really enjoyed the course
The course was in great shape and was a very good layout. The course was very wet from excessive rains but still was in very good shape. Would like to go back when weather is better. Would definitely recommend to someone else.
