Value
Good value, conditions were good, but greens had some sketchy areas.
River Oaks Review Oct 2024
Course was in good condition. Some of the greens had some damage, but did not affect the play. Greens were playing fast. Had to be careful if about the pin.
On Friday afternoon, course was busy with players. Did not affect play'.
Great course for the value
The layout of the course was very nice. There are areas where the water hazard come into play, but gives you a good approach shot to the greens. Some of the greens were covered by bonkers which was cool. The greens and some holes were not in great shape as they showed a little wear, and hadn't been watered in some areas. We played Fox to Otter courses.
Very disappointing
We were at this course year ago and it was definitely better that it was this time. For the price it was quite overrated.
The most important thing at any golf course is the condition of the greens were a game is played.the greens were quite terrible with lots of cancer on the greens. If this was January or February I would MAYBE accept this but certainly not at this time of the year .
We came from Canada in the hopes of playing nice courses in Myrtle but I can play courses in my area near and around Montreal for the same price that hosted PGA or LPGA tournament even the course we play at regularly would be rated a 10.
Check this place out for a fun round of golf
Beautiful clubhouse, great service and above average practice area. Course in very good shape.
Our only issue was pace of play could’ve been better. A group in front of us were beginners. Would still definitely play here again regardless of that
Very playable. Nice Greens
Helpful staff, especially the snack bar.
A beauty day at Rivee Oaks👍
I hadn't played River Oaks Golf Club in Myrtle Beach, in 30 years.
So many great improvements and boy has the area grown up around the club.
The layout is still challenging but very fair.
There is a selection of 4 different tee markers, based on a players ability.
Course condition was a 4 out of five.
Pace of play was 4 hours👍
They also have a very nice practice facility to warm up on.
I wouldn't hesitate to play again and the dollar value was excellent.
Staff was professional and on point👍
Good value
Not an easy cause, some of the greens & bunkers had issues.
A Ton of Fun
Absolutely loved this course! The layout is so much fun! The holes that I knew were so familiar to the ones they were imitating. I was thrilled making a birdie on “TPC 17” and a par on “Augusta 12.” I had a fright on “Augusta 13.” My 3rd shot cleared “Rae’s Creek” and just rolled down slightly into the high grass, as I was looking for it I nearly stepped on a snake that freaked out as it was escaping. Freaked me out, I hate snakes! A fun, fun course!
Really enjoyed the layout of the course as it is a replica course, where each hole is designed after a famous hole from many different well known golf courses. With that said, it is tough. I played on a Friday after it had rained earlier that morning hard, and all day before. Therefore, the course was absolutely soaked no matter where you hit it, even all of the tee boxes were casual water with no escaping it. I almost decided not to play it was so wet, and the range was closed. I enjoyed getting to see the course for the first time, but would love to play this course again on a sunny dry day, and without constant 20-40 mph winds. This course ate my lunch
Friendly Accommodating Staff
Enjoyed the day but the course not as maintained as others we visited.
Fun round
We really enjoyed the history and allure of each hole. Pace of play was a little slow, but not terrible.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Greens rolled true.

Very playable
Very open and playable course with good roll of the ball.
