About Table Rock Resort
The Table Rock Resort is different from most of South Carolina's golf resorts in that it resides in a mountainous setting, not a marshy or oceanfront landscape. It sits in a northwest corner of the state at the base of Pinnacle Mountain, sprawling across 500 acres. Table Rock features a natural waterfall, an 18-hole course called The Rock and an onsite snack bar. Guests who stay in the resort's two-bedroom, two-bathroom condos are allowed free golf.Facts

Mountain Gem
We played here about 10 years ago, the overall beauty of the course was apparent , the conditions could have been better.
Now the looks and conditions are up to par of any top rated course.
John the head pro was very accommodating and friendly.
If you need some beautiful nature and great golf The Rock is the place to go.

Better and better
Rebuilding some tee boxes ( understandable). Will be perfect come fall. Well maintained fairways, green were in great shape ( pretty true). Friendly staff. Course had a busy turnout. The secret is out in the turnaround of this course. Traps will be the last to come around with some nice white sand... so everyone continue to play and provide the $ for continued improvements!

New and improved
New super is doing a great job and thank you to the owners for giving him the tools to make it what it is becoming. Been playing here for 30 yrs and can honestly say it has never been as good as it is period. Hopefully green speeds will come up a little but other than that very fun track.

Upgrades!!
This course is significantly improved! The fairways were very good. Some of the tee boxes were rough. The greens were VERY nice. Bunkers were quite packed down-even after they were raked.
Overall, very nice course that has been beautifully upgraded since the last owners.

Good conditions for the money
Better than average for the price. Not the greatest layout but a fun course. Must place shots wisely.

Worth The Drive!!
The Rock is about an hour drive north of Greenville and it is a beautiful course and was in excellent condition. The course got 2" of rain the previous afternoon so it was a bit wet but given all the rain the course was still in great shape.
As with the other reviews provided, the 8th hole with the waterfall is a "photo op" But there are a lot of beautiful holes on this course. The 8th hole is a par 3, elevated tee box and so you definitely want to club down one on this hole.
It is an interesting course with some doglegs, elevated greens on a few holes, elevated tee boxes on other holes. And there is a creek that you need to carry on a number of holes but the carry distances are fair. In other words, if you know your yardages with your clubs you can easily layup or go for it when you want to on various holes.
The staff was very nice and they did have a ranger on the course. The Ranger was a good guy and asked if we were happy with the pace of play. I appreciate a course with good rangers.
My only criticism is that some of the forward tees (Gold and Red) are not even so you had to "find a spot" that was a flat lie. Also, on the good side - expect on a few holes where the water had clearly damaged the tee box -- most of the forward tees had decent grass.
It is definitely worth the drive to play "The Rock.".

The Rock
Course is in fantastic shape. Played with a couple buddies from the whites. It would be nice if they modernized the carts to electric. Some of the carts are very long in the tooth. They use duct tape on the seating which is sketchy. But they get you around the course

Better hit em straight
Very Hot round. Humidity was also up. back 9 the heat was oppressive. Very typical mountain course. Many holes lined with trees that will easily gobble up wayward tee shots. Additionally many holes have are carved int the side of the mountain and have a significant elevation change. Most all of the par 3's it seemed.
Challenging course with beautiful scenery (see the waterfall next to hole 8)

Diappointed
Arrived 20 minutes prior to tee only to discover that my online golf now booking was not on the course tee sheet. According to the course staff they have had multiple issues with golfnow as of late. I tried to contact golfnow to work out this issue but there was no one to help, no way to get help....so I’m very disappointed with golfnow to say the least
