Scenic challenge
The course is very challenging with every fairway bordered by Ponderosa pine, birch and spruce. Elk and deer are prevalent. Water on three different holes adds to the challenge particularly where the stream winds back and forth down three fourths of fairway seven. Beautiful challenging course with great staff.
Black Hills Beauty
Course is in good shape, challenging and offers great opportunity to experience the natural beauty of the Black Hills.

Great golf course. Nice challenging layout. GPS on carts is the nicest I have ever seen. Well maintained course. Beautiful elevation changes and great views. Highly recommend.
Excellent staff . great course well managed. Beautifully maintained
Jeff and Connie are great and the course was beautiful a challenge!
Beautiful mountain course
The course is in excellent condition this year and the scenery and views of this Black Hills gem are soul lightening. Breathe in the fresh scent of the surrounding pines and enjoy a round of golf. Greens are challenging to say the least but this is one of those must golf golf courses if your ever in this area. Excellent staff and the food was good to. No pressure golfing.
A Must Play!
I've been wanting to play this course for some time now. Thru a "Hot Deal", my GF and I got on for a great price! Scenery was outstanding and the club house crew was very friendly. Just was it was 18 holes, but a MUST PLAY for any golf lover.
The course was in perfect conditions. the layout in the rolling hills makes your day challenging and at times easy. It is a day of Golfing that you will remember.
OK but challenging
Picked a cold day so it made golf a real challenge...45 degrees and windy. Holes were very scenic but fairways were very mushy and bumpy; greens are very undulating, were in need of mowing and it's easy to lose balls if not in fairway. Staff was very friendly but not a great 9-hole course. Quite a few blind shots.
Great
The course is in the best condition I have ever seen. Staff is doing a great job.
Surprise in the Woods
Saw this course last year and decided I should play it when I was back in Deadwood. It is a great 9 hole course tucked back in the woods about 20 minutes outside Deadwood. Every hole provides a different and scenic view. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The course is in very good condition and can be challenging. Watch out for water on several holes, especially 17. My playing partner and I plan to go back again the next time we make it out to Deadwood.
Course was well maintained
Great course, well maintained and very friendly staff
Beautiful scenery
Nice course, very wet currently with all the rain but beautiful views and enjoyable round!
Bad! Do Not Play!
9 hole course. We paid for 18 but only played 6 1/2 holes. Each of us lost 3 balls in the fairway mush or around the green swamp I n areas that should be no more than rough. Large areas of the course is swamp and muck. Even portions of the cart path are unusable. My worst experience ever. If I was a member, I'd be embarrassed to have a non member play with the course in this condition.
A little black hills gem
A great 9 hole course in the hills, a complete escape from everything on a beautiful layout.
