Nice layout

Really nice layout. Lots of up and down lies. Creeks in play on several holes. Course was in in good shape, but greens were a little long and slow, particularly on the front nine. Bunkers were well maintained.

Worth the money!

Great price for the area, friendly staff and good pace of play. The course is challenging for first time players as you can get confused finding your way around and which way to start your tee shots. Bugs are sometimes bad. Be prepared to hit precise tee shots on the back 9.

Fun course.

Like the other reviews say, it feels like two 9 hole course. Which in my opinion is pretty cool. For the front, use gps. Sneaky water everywhere. For the back. You rarely need a driver and will need to be precise. Pace of pay was smooth. Only 2 complaints. One, the different types of grasses specifically in the rough is not easy to manage shot by shot. Two, wish the fairways were a bit more manicured. I do definitely recommend and would play again.

Course review

The course was cool, but the greens needed some work. There were weeds in some of them and they were a little long. The back 9 was beautiful and had some challenging holes. The club house was just a little shack with not a lot of golf apparel, they only had a little gas station roller grill with about 6 hotdogs. That part was disappointing. The golfing was fun and the sites were something new being from the north.

Confusing layout!

This course have roads running right through it!! Trying to determine which fairway to play on the front 9 was crazy!!! At one point, it appeared one had to hit over one of the roads that ran through the course. As I was teeing off on one hole, a car passed right by me!!! The back nine was more isolated which was expected for a course designed around mountains and water. However, we had to wait for 3 cars to find their way off the “cart path” because GPS sent them through the course!! We helped them make the tight turn-around to find their way back to the main road!!

I’ll never play nor recommend this course again. Oh, there was an emergency' on the course and we had to skip a hole because the road parallel

With the cartpsth was blocked so the helicopter could land!

Not quite a Hilton quality

The track is interesting and a test to play but there are lot of public roads running through the front nine. That was weird. The back has several blind tee shots and hidden hazards. The greens were really slow. Maybe some daily mowing .could help.

Decent option near Pigeon Forge

Bent Creek is a decent and enjoyable mountain course designed by the legendary Gary Player early in his design career. I’d give it a solid 3.8 stars. The weekend price felt a little high, however. I paid $71 after tax and would put the value closer to $50–55 on weekends.

The layout has some interesting challenges, particularly holes 3, 9, 11, 13, and 17. Several force you to put the driver away and rely on a long iron or smooth 3-wood. The back nine is more scenic overall with its elevation changes, though the front has some nice mountain views with the creek and rocks in the foreground. Fairways on the front are fairly close to one another, less so on the back.

Conditions were mixed. Fairways were weedy in places, and much of the rough wasn’t significantly thicker than the fairways, although a few holes had more challenging rough. Greens were somewhat patchy in places, but far from terrible. Most tee boxes were fine, though a couple were well below average. The highest point on the course, hole 14, has no real grass on the tee box—just mats.

Pace of play should be good if you get out early, but some locals apparently skip to the back when playing nine, which can disrupt the flow. The course could do a better job keeping tabs on where groups are starting.

And as other reviews mention, the gnats are no joke, especially on tee boxes and greens. Bring bug spray!

Overall, a solid course with an interesting layout and good scenery. I’d play Bent Creek again, but probably only at a lower price.

Beautiful course

The course was challenging with lots of creeks and woods. The fairways were close together. Enjoyed the course and the challenge it brought. Hated all the gnats but nothing can be done about that.

Better take bug spray

Bugs were terrible & they don't sell any in clubhouse. Advertised you could eat there if you like hotdogs cooked on a convenance store rotisserie & didn't have many of them. Tee times must have been 5 minutes apart & stayed backed up at every hole. But the worst of it were the bugs & no hole layout on signs. Had to ask for a card that showed course after we guessed the front nine. Overall was not worth the drive or the money.

Slow play lots of nats, short on hot dogs, slow greens

Very slow play, had a group of 4 in front of our foursome with a group of 5 in front of them. Couse was extremely busy. Tee time was 10:36. Made the turn, had plenty of time to go in and grab some food as 10 tee box was backed up. There was 1 hotdog left on the grill. Two ladies working in proshop, I asked if they were out of dogs? One said she could go and microwave one for. Me. I said ok but didn't understand why they hadn't put more on the grill. Nats were terrible all day. Course was good except for the fuzzy slow greens. Rate was good viA golf now.

Bent creek

Course was well maintained staff was friendly scenery was absolutely fantastic the only complaint was the staggered tee times it felt like I was waiting on the group in front of me who was waiting on the group in front of them who was waiting on the group in front of them. The ranger said they were fully booked so now solo play all groups were groups of four, my tee time was for 9:15 and didn’t get to tee off until 9:30 felt like it was 5 min intervals for tee times and had people skipping holes or hitting right at your back sometimes due to blind tee shots but still had a great time with some breathtaking views and a very nice course design

Awesome Layout

The front 9 had a great traditional feel while the back 9 brought you more into the mountainous feel of the course. Overall it was a great 18 with many challenging holes with a good mix of fun and enjoyable holes.

Nice course

Tee boxes are tough and they are working on them so I give them grace on that. Clubhouse ran out of hot dogs, it was a busy day, could use a couple more people to help clubhouse staff. We saw a 6 some playing, a bit unusual but at least they were playing a scramble. Overall a nice course and I’ll play it again for the money.

Golf Now

First thing was the check in process and the excuses. You booked through Golf Now so you need to get them to fix the gift card issue. Excuses for any Golf Now booked tee time. Not our problem! I had 2 $20.00 gift cards I entered on-line but the course would not honor them. The full rate of $76.00 was charged plus an extra $20.00 for my wife to ride. I paid $96.00 for a round when it was worth maybe $50.00! The front 9 was pretty fair and relatively flat and fair. The back 9 was tougher with blind holes and gimmicks to make it tough to hit a spot. Golf mats were used for one tee-off area. Greens were aerated over a month ago but still bumpy. Could have been a much better experience.
