Beautiful course
The course was challenging with lots of creeks and woods. The fairways were close together. Enjoyed the course and the challenge it brought. Hated all the gnats but nothing can be done about that.
Better take bug spray
Bugs were terrible & they don't sell any in clubhouse. Advertised you could eat there if you like hotdogs cooked on a convenance store rotisserie & didn't have many of them. Tee times must have been 5 minutes apart & stayed backed up at every hole. But the worst of it were the bugs & no hole layout on signs. Had to ask for a card that showed course after we guessed the front nine. Overall was not worth the drive or the money.
Slow play lots of nats, short on hot dogs, slow greens
Very slow play, had a group of 4 in front of our foursome with a group of 5 in front of them. Couse was extremely busy. Tee time was 10:36. Made the turn, had plenty of time to go in and grab some food as 10 tee box was backed up. There was 1 hotdog left on the grill. Two ladies working in proshop, I asked if they were out of dogs? One said she could go and microwave one for. Me. I said ok but didn't understand why they hadn't put more on the grill. Nats were terrible all day. Course was good except for the fuzzy slow greens. Rate was good viA golf now.
Bent creek
Course was well maintained staff was friendly scenery was absolutely fantastic the only complaint was the staggered tee times it felt like I was waiting on the group in front of me who was waiting on the group in front of them who was waiting on the group in front of them. The ranger said they were fully booked so now solo play all groups were groups of four, my tee time was for 9:15 and didn’t get to tee off until 9:30 felt like it was 5 min intervals for tee times and had people skipping holes or hitting right at your back sometimes due to blind tee shots but still had a great time with some breathtaking views and a very nice course design
Awesome Layout
The front 9 had a great traditional feel while the back 9 brought you more into the mountainous feel of the course. Overall it was a great 18 with many challenging holes with a good mix of fun and enjoyable holes.
Good day
All and all it was a good day a few of the fairways are tight you have to make a good line or your on other fairways we had to pull up map on my golf app to see which way to go.a map in the cart or sign at the tee boxes would help with first time players.we hade fun and we will be back thank you
Disappointed
Course was dry, Not much grass inthe fairways. Balk was hard to stop from getting into trouble even when laying up.
Nice course
Tee boxes are tough and they are working on them so I give them grace on that. Clubhouse ran out of hot dogs, it was a busy day, could use a couple more people to help clubhouse staff. We saw a 6 some playing, a bit unusual but at least they were playing a scramble. Overall a nice course and I’ll play it again for the money.
Best around
On vacation decided on Playing bent creek with my 2 boys they loved the coarse the back 9 was a experience all around awesome experience
Golf Now
First thing was the check in process and the excuses. You booked through Golf Now so you need to get them to fix the gift card issue. Excuses for any Golf Now booked tee time. Not our problem! I had 2 $20.00 gift cards I entered on-line but the course would not honor them. The full rate of $76.00 was charged plus an extra $20.00 for my wife to ride. I paid $96.00 for a round when it was worth maybe $50.00! The front 9 was pretty fair and relatively flat and fair. The back 9 was tougher with blind holes and gimmicks to make it tough to hit a spot. Golf mats were used for one tee-off area. Greens were aerated over a month ago but still bumpy. Could have been a much better experience.
Rough Conditions
Greens were slow and bumpy. Took 4:45 to play.
Would not recommend.
Mountain Golf
Bent Creek is your typical mountain golf course. The front nine is basically lowlands almost links style with side-by-side fairways and some short par 4s. The back nine is more mountain style golf with elevation and moderate dog legs. This is not a course for the long hitters off the tee as you really need to shape your shots and select your targets carefully to avoid the hazards. There is water (pond and creek) on the front and back nine. Some holes on the front nine are deceiving as you can't see the fairway from the tee box.
The greens were recently punched and sanded so you can't get a true roll on the greens. The group I was with settled on a two-putt maximum due to the condition of the greens. The greens should be nice in a month or so. Fairways haven't come in yet due to March weather. Bent Creek is a good play if you are staying in Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge for the week. I enjoyed it.

Depending on the time of year
Would be a beautiful and challenging course during peak season. Played in March and greens were punched and sanded which made them almost unplayable, tee boxes were basically just mud on some holes. Would love to give it another shot during peak season. Overpriced for March golf and the conditions you get. Lovely staff!!
Back 9 very challenging. Greens were in bad shape, fun course but not worth the $60+ fee
Pat&Jackie return
Great to be back at our long-time favorite course. Good to know that Colin and crew are still keeping Bent Creek in great shape—so much fun to play!
Thanks for your friendly hospitality also!
