Great golf

I've been playing this course for 49 years and always enjoyed it. The superintendent always wants to improve the conditions but is hamstrung by the state expendures. The greens are great and true and could be a little faster. The fairways need to be rid of secondary grasses but it still plays well. The bunkers need to be rebuilt are really not playable. Holes 5, 9, and 15 have trees that gave overgrown into the fairways limiting the shot off the tee. The layout is always fun with several tee locations. I love this course but like a lot of them it's as only good as the states willing to spend. Worth the time and effort to play, see wildlife, and have a great time.

Hidden gem

Challenging but fair layout, the only thing is too many bunkers.

Fantastic course, too bad about greens

Played the famous Fall Creek Falls state park and loved it. Will be back to its old self in the late fall or spring. Lost greens due to what appeared to be a fungus. Everything thing else is just in perfect shape.

Bad shape, but working to improve

The course was in bad shape. The greens were under repair with some kind of blue liquid painted on them (fertilizer?). They do have lower fees. We've played here previously with excellent conditions. We'll try again but this trip was disappointing.

Disappointed

Unfortunately, I have to give very poor review for FCF. I have played this course well over 100 times in my 25+ years of playing golf. I have never seen the greens in this bad of shape at FCF. Number 10 green is totally gone and they are quickly losing the rest. I dont know if the State of TN has cut funding or the greens have a biotic or abiotic issue but its terrible to see as this course can be one of the best in Tennessee. In addition, anyone playing this course in this condition should receive a discount and in this case, they charged us full price. On a good note, the fairways are in excellent condition. Hopefully, they will get some resolution or nobody will be playing this course in the future. I have to mark no in recommend a friend comment area and hate to do so.

Another Good Day at FCF

Some greens are starting to show just a little damage around the edges. However and overall, the course is in really good shape.

Perfect Golf Weather

Course has not fully recovered from winter but is well on its way. Bluebird skies and sunny conditions around 65 to 67 F made for an excellent outing. Will be headed back to play again later this spring and summer.

Straight Forward - Over Priced

This course is in good condition for its setting. Lot of rain has greened things up. Bunkers need serious attention. Hard packed and no drainage other than troughs carved at the low points. Overall, the cost is higher than the Bear Trace at Cumberland. There is a $15 replay, so i36 holes can be an affordable price point. of deer, turkey if that is your thing. Staff was super-friendly. No complaints at all. There was a 6-some on the course that could jamb things up. The place was empty today so no pace issues. It’s a State park so lots of things to do, other than golf.

So they allow 6 somes.....

We were sent here by locals.....what a waste of a drive....Every hole is pretty simple to see ....All the par 3's about the same.....You either play 6300 plus or 5200 plus........ Not sure how they justify keeping it open....oh that's right the good people of Tennessee are paying. Lake Tansi or River Watch are both better....absolutely no wow........Greens are way way over watered.....most likely because there Bent Grass....Joe Lee designed this but I only had to see 5 holes and I guessed who it was.....bunkers in front of every green....that's his idea of making it hard.....Lady tees are very much the proper distance.....

Tons of Sand Traps

Beautiful course in one of Tennessee's Favorite State Park. Very reasonable rate for off season. Pace played very well. Tons of sand traps protecting each green. Lots of practice for my sand wedge.

Beautiful

They just got all new electric carts. And just did a huge update of the watering system and course. Very friendly people. If you have a camper camp. The inn needs work. One of the most beautiful state parks in the whole country.
