Sloooow
Course in great shape, but 5 hours is way too much time for a round of golf,
Pretty good
Nice course and wasn’t too busy on a Tuesday morning. It had rained the night before and they wouldn’t allow carts to get off the path. I would liked to have walked but they wouldn’t allow walking because it’s “too slow”. Normally that might be the case, but if you have to walk back and forth to the cart after every swing, then not so much. It’s actually slower than walking. They had also sanded the greens which seemed late in the season for that and made for bumpy putting. I dinged the course conditions for that. All in all a nice course and other than sandy greens in good condition. would play again. Just pointing out the cons for this day.
Gold Standard
Gaylord Springs feels much like a private club. Wonderful feel as you drive into the clubhouse, A+ conditions tee to green, nice layout and more difficult than you would think by looking at the score card. Great value on Golfnow.
Very nice and a great value
Everyone was nice and the course was fun. Gets easier as you go. Greens very true Super value for seniors
Great
This was one of my top 3 course I’ve played personally!
Good course- well maintained
Greens are fast bermuda (not my favorite). Course was well maintained. Not a lot of people at the course that day so it was a decent pace. Above avg green fees but not unreasonable for the quality. Plenty of tee box choices so you can make it as hard or easy as you want.
Less than expected
The first impression of any course is the staff at the bag drop. Experience was not at all as expected for a course of this price and especially being affiliated with a Marriott property. Staff was not at all welcoming or helpful and gave no direction or assistance. Unloaded own bag from car and had to load it on cart. Same experience at bag drop/cart return upon round completion as we were barely acknowledged. Golf shop staff not much better. They act as though they are doing you a favor by letting you play their course. In addition, for most of the back nine the cart GPS kept threatening us due to pace of play, saying a marshal would make us skip a hole. We were waiting on groups in front of us for majority of holes throughout the round and could not play faster. Course should have a way to control the messages as having to clear them constantly was very aggravating.
Excellent golf course
Good view, nice course, I had a great rounding. I'd like to play next autumn. around fall leaves and blue sky.
