Gaylord Springs Golf Links

About
The Cumberland River gave birth to the Scottish links-style Gaylord Springs Golf Links, a par-72 golf course that provides 18 testing holes that border limestone bluffs and wetlands protected by the feds. The golf course, designed by the former U.S. Open and PGA Champion Larry Nelson, has collected several distinctions over its days.
The big draw on the Gaylord Springs Golf Links is the signature fourth hole, home to the hundred-plus-year-old springhouse that gives the golf course its name.
After a round on the Gaylord Springs Golf Links, head back to the 43,000-square-foot antebellum-style clubhouse to shop, dine, and take in the views of the golf course.

Winter conditions
Very good layout, winter conditions with dormant grass, look forward to playing in the summer!
Challenging but fair
Played in slightly chilly and windy conditions. I like the layout, you are definitely rewarded for hitting it in the fairway but don’t often hit it out of play if you’re a little crooked. The greens were in very good shape considering the time of year. Nice variety of holes. Will definitely return.
Go play this gem
Winter rates made the wet conditions worth it. Greens were amazing for this time of year… rolled true and Stimped 10-11 in my opinion. The summer rates are higher but course would be perfect then. Better experience than Hermitage due to the staff friendliness for less money!
Nice long adventurous course
Really nice championship course. The staff was nice. And the people i golfed with was nice. Get ready for a challenge if you haven't been to Gaylord Springs. The greens are tricky to.
Fun Round in the Fall
We played the course on a cloudy, overcast day. There were not a lot of people playing, so our pace was just fine. The staff were very friendly, and even made recommendations for dinner at the Opry. The course was challenging, but not too difficult. The fairways are wide, but trouble does exist on the holes near the river. I did find the river with one shot. Also, water comes into play on many of the holes which makes the views pretty amazing. It was our fist time playing in the Nashville area, and we will play again in the future if returning to the area.
Gaylord Springs
Staff was great. We had a good round in spite of some difficult course conditions . It was cart path only due to winter conditions
Gaylord Springs Experience
We had a great round in spite of the weather and course conditions. since it was winter our understanding is that it was Cart Path Only, so we did do a lot of walking. However eh staff was great! Very friendly and professional. We're planning on coming back in the spring or summer when conditions are more favorable.
WOW
Fantastic condition all the way around.
Greens are pro caliber, super fast and very true.
Freezing Cold - But still had a blast
From the minute we arrived, everything was simple. The staff was incredibly friendly. Literally everyone we talked to was nice. Just ben clear, it wasn't that "pre-programmed" friendliness. It was clear that they enjoyed being there and were not miserable working on a Saturday. It was a freezing cold day, but even so we had an amazing time. There are a couple holes (par 3s), and 16 that you only see on courses that are far more expensive. I would highly recommend this course to anyone that is in the Nashville area for the weekend. Also, if you are bringing a kid (that can keep up with adults), call before you book and ask about rates for kids after lunch. Again, nothing negative to say about this place.
Great layout and immaculate greens
Second time playing Gaylord Springs. The course is in great condition even late in the season.
Pace of play was great. 3 hours 20 minutes.
Tough course
Challenging course. Coming from Florida, I wasn’t ready for the incredibly fast greens. . Would recommend

Great, except pace and staff ageism
Older 4 some in front, not letting us play through. Bumped back “on pace time” 45 mins to an hour, couldn’t get in a rhythm.
Playing with a 40 year old, and me (30) and 2 others similar aged, called marshal, marshal was old too, didnt even talk to them about pace or playing through until a 3rd complaint
