Black greens
Most of the greens had a black fungus and dead spots. What surface remained had multiple pitch marks.
Solid Course
I always enjoy the rounds out here at Cattails. Course is in really good shape overall. Great mix of challenging and easy holes. Pace of play was great and course held up well given the rain.
Greens had some places they were working on. Fun course. Wish they had a driving range.
Great Course, Friendly Staff
Enjoyed an afternoon round at Cattails MeadowView on a hot Saturday in June. The back nine was beautiful, and reflective of "Tennessee" golf as the staff referred to it. Very friendly folks, and look forward to coming back to play again in the future. Thank you!
Fun Course
Really enjoyed my round out there today. Pace of play was solid down the front 9 then got really enjoyable down the back. Played total round in 3.5 hours on a Thursday almost 4 pm start time.
Fairways and tee boxes in petty good shape. Greens in pretty decent shape minus 1 or 2 holes. Could more divots on the greens then I would have liked to see but I think that falls on the players to do a better job of fixing them.
Layout is very fun. Last 3 holes are always a tough challenge to end the round. But a very enjoyable course. I’ll be back to play a few more times this year.
Pro shop is friendly, well stocked, and good price on beers.
Fun Course worth playing
Played this course for my second time today. Turned in a 89 which was 9 strokes better than my last time I played here. The course conditions were much improved since November and the recent dry spell made the course play fast.
Front 9 is pretty open which a nice par 5 to ease you into the round. Course has a good mix of long and short par 4s. The par 5s are fun and memorable with water coming into play on two of the 4.
The Cattrap (holes 11-13) is always a fun challenge. 11 is a tough par 5 going way up hill. 12 a par 3 with a great shot for birdie. 13 has a massive drop off that allows the green that is 275 out from the whites play more like 230.
Finishing holes are tough but fair. Will definitely play again in spring when surrounding views come more back to life
2nd time
Second time there. Second time cart path only and so swampy they should have issued muck boots. IF I ever try going back it will be summer and a dry spell.
