Dallas Ft. Worth Marriott Hotel and Golf Club at Champions Circle

Recently moved to Texas and still trying to connect myself with a great golf community - .played only one other. This experience at Champions was by far superior from beginning to end! It was great enough for me to think of calling Champions my home course and perhaps I will. I guess I would like to see the bunkers in better shape though.

Greens can be challenging but rolled good. Fairways in decent shape. Not a long course with 2 par 3s back to back on the back nine with a few drivable par 4s for fun. I played the whites tees.

The weather was very good with despite the wind & the front none played well with some good challenging holes but also some quirky holes. The back nine began with a series of shorter Par 4 holes then back to back Par 3 holes before settling into a stretch of challenging holes. You need to keep an eye out for the water as it creeps into the fairways on several holes & with forced water carries on several holes you need to factor in the wind & make sure you hit enough club to clear the water.

There was a group in front of me that would go fishing for golf balls most times there was a water carry - not just for their own balls but also spending time looking for more balls. When they let me play through they claimed the group in front of them was holding them up hence why they were spending time looking for golf balls.

Eventually the course marshall realised the problem & had the slower group wait as we played through them but that was well into the back nine holes after they had already held up play for at least 10 holes!

With the average price of a round of golf in the metroplex, continuing to climb, I have found that Champions Circle is one of the best values for an overall great experience on a good, tough, fun course. Played on a Monday afternoon, but not twilight for $54 per player. The greens were very slow today, but also very predictable. I was okay with that. Everything else was in good shape and my two sons and I had a great round. Will be back for another round soon.

Course was awesome, staff is really cool. Felt comfortable being there thanks to everyone working there!

Greens are in tip top shape…fun course and friendly staff.. I was playing single on a Friday at 414 pm and pace was good only really slowed down on last five holes.

This course will challenge you if you can't hit fairways. Greens are fast too.

I have played the course several times. Certainly value for the course. This time was a little different though…I’m a lefty and was looking for a new golf glove…after staring at the rack for minutes, I asked the man behind the counter where the RH gloves were. He pointed right in front without skipping a beat and without offering his assistance. I spent several more mins going through the gloves to no avail. Other courses have set the bar by coming around the counter and actually showing that my business mattered instead of prioritizing his coworkers conversation.

Good track, front nine is difficult very tight but conditions are good.

I like this course but could do without thier annoying GPS restrictions. Most courses allow up to 30 yards of the green. This course have so many prohabited spots on the course that is very annoying. The cart suddenly stops moving forward even on practically open and non restricted area. I understand they try to preserve greens and around it but this is over doing it. It is time to address this issue by management.

For the money very disappointing.. pretty bland layout. Really short back nine. Guessing when they put in the Top golf , gave up land and had to redo some of the holes. One hole one back nine par was basically a sand pit in front of the hole. Staff and cart service was excellent.
