Great course
Fairways and greens are great. But I don’t love the new lay out. Two par threes in a row is different. But over all play is good.
Need a better course management
It has been a while I played this course. they have changed the layout of the course bu adding two new holes. The #10 & #11 ( new hole) is par 3. Kind of strange to play a par 3 back to back. Hole #17 & #18 are odd holes. I played on Sunday afternoon and there was no starter or ranger at the course. I had to wait on every hole at least 5 minutes as groups ahead on me were very slow. I will not recommend this course unless they come up with a better design and course management. There are better golf courses in this area that I prefer to play than this one...
Champion circle
Course is in excellent shape.ove the 2 new par 3 holes. Dont miss the old #2 & #3 holes at all. Wish they would update the GPS though.
Great course that is continuing to improve.
I frequent this course and it has been improving consistently since new management took over this spring. They are working hard to upkeep landscaping as well as keep costs reasonable. Of course, it’s hard to over come Texas summer heat, but tee-boxes, fairways and greens were in good shape considering.
I thoroughly enjoy this course and recommend it.
Great track and potential for greatness
First time playing here and I enjoyed the round. The greens have been aerated in the past month or so; they were slow and unpredictable. This is a temporary setback for this course, I hope. I played on a hot day when the course was wide open. I played my own pace and had plenty of great chances for birdie. This course has some interesting holes and nice views. I particularly enjoyed the final 5 holes.
Way overpriced for a week day with the course in this condition.Aerated greens.
Greens
The greens have made a remarkable comeback since this past spring. Played in under 4 hrs and that was very nice.
Not Worth the Money
The course conditions are fair at best. Tee boxes have weeds and are hard as a rock. Some you can't even get a tee in, have to stick it in a crack of dried earth (1, 2, 10). Sand traps have rocks and hardly any sand. Poorly maintained cart paths. Its just sad because it's a fun course to play. Now they are raising their rates with new management. They should have improved the quality of the course before raising the rates. But no, they are raised twilight by $15.00 during the week. That is absolutely absurd.
Great
Greens a little wooly but with a Texas Summer not a bad idea. Fairways great shape. Lots of casual water. They must be watering the maximum. Good place to play.
Great place and better staff
The course was very well designed and fit my game perfectly ... and it was in GREAT shape !!! Especially the greens.... for the money it was a great value .... but the staff was fantastic!!! Everyone working there was focused on my experience..... well done guys and gals .... obviously a very well managed golf facility!!!
They’re working hard...
I read a lot of reviews because like many of you, I played this course over a year ago and the greens were in shambles. Fast forward a year later, Brad, Gary and the rest of the maintenance staff have done a phenomenal job getting the course back into playing shape. They even have re-sodded some of the greens to help with some of the issues from a year ago.
Contrary to what some have said, there are (5) water jugs on the course, a great bar supervisor in Stella and Ron in the pro shop is a delight. He took the time to explain all the changes coming on August 1st.
I live on hole 13 which makes golf accessible. I just want to say thank you to the entire golf course staff for listening to the reviews and making the appropriate changes.
Course itself is in good condition. First I saw if the beverage cart was on my 17th hole. This has always been a problem at this course during the week. They either don’t show up, show up hung over, go home sick (hung over), break down, get delayed in the clubhouse or one of many other excuses Ive heard over the years. The young ones seem to not understand the courtesy aspects in golf: like not driving up as you are swinging or hollering across a fairway as you are swinging. At least the water in the jugs was cold!
Nice layout, challenging but fair and the course was in very good condition.
