Great value and layout
Second time playing this course. I enjoy the layout and it’s been in great condition the 2 times I’ve played it.
Starter Problem
I’ve had so many great experiences at Champions. The staff is always helpful and friendly. This time was an exception to many great days I’ve had on this course.
So, when you get paired up with a threesome, apparently you will not be told at the counter you have to pay additional cart fee as a single. They will wait for a volunteer Marshall to manage that AFTER you tee off from number 1. Basically the options were pair up or pay additional cart fee. The problem is it was three guys traveling on a golf trip from out of state. That guy had no plans of riding around in a golf cart with someone he didn’t know, nor did I. So, begrudgingly I went to the clubhouse to make the added payment while my group went to their balls on 1.
If you have been to the course you know it’s not a quick convenient trip back to the clubhouse register from 1, nonetheless I tried to hurry because of my group waiting out in the fairway. I was surprised to see the starter come in right behind to make sure I was making payment. In 35 years of playing golf I’ve never had this situation pop up.
We're truly sorry for the inconvenience and confusion regarding the cart fee policy during your recent visit. We appreciate your feedback and are looking into improving our communication to ensure a better experience for all our guests. Thank you for choosing The Golf Club at Champions Circle.
Great staff, coolest marshal I’ve ever seen
The course looked really good with a few patches every now and then, but the front desk was amazing and rushed around to make sure we played even though we were late. The marshal, I think his name was Terry, was great and helped us out the whole time. He came and talked to us and was positive and funny! One of my new favorites, would recommend to locals and people visiting.
Thank you for the positive feedback and for recommending us! We're thrilled to hear you enjoyed the course and our staff, especially Terry, made your experience memorable. We hope you join us for another round soon! Thanks for choosing The Golf Club at Champions Circle.
2 Different 9s
2nd time playing this course since I moved to Texas. Similar to first time the course was in great condition.
We teed off on the 10th and immediately play was slow. 2 groups on the hole as we waited on the tee box. We then proceeded to wait on every hole until the turn when the group in front disappeared. The 2nd 9 was a much better pace of play. We saw the cart girl on the 10th hole as we started and did not see a cart girl again until mid way round the front 9. It was in the 90s so could not believe it took so long, we had even had to chase as we made the turn - the response from the Marshall being that he had not seen her either !!!
Apart from this I like the course, specially the front 9

Nice Course North of Fort Worth
1st time playing here. Had a blast. Got a great hot deal on golf now. Checkin was nice a mind friendly, started was really nice and got paired with a very friendly local who had played the course numerous times (which really helped)
The front 9 is a great layout and makes you think (not all bombing driver). Course was in Great condition and the greens were challenging getting used to their pace
The back 9 is good but a little quirky, 3 par 3s and a 240 yard par 4. I definitely enjoyed the front 9 more but the course overall is really good and I will be back
Thank you for sharing your positive experience and detailed feedback about your first visit to our golf course. We look forward to welcoming you back for another round at The Golf Club at Champions Circle soon!
Value too good to pass up
Course conditions are great. Front 9 is challenging and fun layout. Back 9 is short due to course reconstruction, but still very fun. Clubhouse guys are always in a good mood. Carts have GPS + speakers.
Really can’t get a better value anywhere else in DFW. Wish I lived closer
Thank you so much for the great review. We are glad you had an incredible time, and we hope to see you again soon! Thanks for choosing TOP PICK

Slipped in 18
Originally scheduled an afternoon round, but due to possible bad weather and another obligation I called to see if I could move my tee time up. Carson in the tee shop was extremely helpful and said come on down and we will see what we can do. Arrived early and they pushed me forward to a three some on the tee. Thanks so much to this group in clubhouse.
I had played this course many times in the past when I lived in, or travelled to the area, eventually saying I would never come back many years ago due to horrible course conditions. Since I was staying Denton and seeing some of the reviews in the last year showing it was much improved, I decided to play.
The course is in great shape now vs. what it was Ten years ago. Greens, fairways, and tee boxes are in good to great playable shape. Having said that, if you are looking for perfectly groomed resort course conditions you will be disappointed, but living in Arizona and paying huge fees to play in season, this is a great value. They looked as if they were still making improvements, so it would appear that the course will continue to improve.
The course has a lot of par threes, and from what I was told by the guys I played with they sold some of their property to a Big Shots outlet next to the course which probably caused them to reconfigure the front nine.
Overall an enjoyable time and well worth the trip to get to. Since you can’t halve the stars I gave it four, but really more a 4.5.
Thank you for your thoughtful review and for acknowledging the improvements we've made over the years. We're delighted Carson could assist you and that you enjoyed your experience with us; we look forward to welcoming you back in the future.
Wet conditions
There had been rain two nights in a row when we played so course was wet. Greens could use some care or maybe just needed sun. The course may have been much better if it was dry, so my rating is lower than it may have been. Sand traps were mud and greens very bumpy. Overall, I would not play there again, but the wet conditions may have contributed to the conditions.
Staff nice, bar looked good to have a drink and bite to eat.

Great course
Great course and fantastic conditions even with it being so wet/raining out.
It was understandably cart path only, and we still finished a Saturday morning round under 5 hours.
First time playing here and will definitely be back, especially in dry conditions
