Dallas Ft. Worth Marriott Hotel and Golf Club at Champions Circle

My wife and I enjoyed the course fair amount of water hazards but little to no sand in the bunkers. Didn't know if that was due to the time of year. No starter as well. We will play it again!

Overall, I would rate this course very good. The clubhouse was nice and its facilities were perfect. I loved the sea salt scrub in the bathrooms to wash my hands. The course was in great shape and the greens were perfect. My putts rolled true and I putted great the whole day. This course did not relate to my game-I'm a little wild with my shots. The front nine are tight and leave very little room for errors. You must be accurate with all your shots. The back nine is a little more forgiving-wider fairways and less trouble off the tee box. The rough around the greens is thick but not bad off the fairways. I will play this course again but only after I get better control with my clubs. Overall, a nice course to play.

We played on a earlyThursday morning so pace of play was good. The course was in great shape and was excellent in value. I would recommend this course to anyone.

Hadn't played this course in awhile, and I always come away with mixed reviews after I do play it. Scored a great deal on GolfNow, so the price was excellent. The gentleman (Ron) behind the counter is always receptive and friendly, so couldn't ask for more in that respect. As for the course conditions, they are great...although the grass on the tee boxes and fairways seem to have an interesting grain to them. Rather than getting a normal divot, the grass "pulls" up like a weed. As a result, anything hit slightly thick results in a poor shot. The rough around the greens is always fluffy and thick, so be prepared for some inconsistent results if you miss the green. The course layout (in my opinion) is terrible. Holes 1-4 are poorly laid out and lead to delays -- immediately after teeing off. This is highly frustrating at the start of a round. It gets a little better from hole 5 on, but there are still some spots that cause backups. This course could be SOOO much better if they would re-work the layout and make it more "playable". While the risk/reward is nice, giving golfers a memorable and fun experience is what will keep them coming back time and time again. Consider other options in the DFW area, otherwise don't overspend to play here or you may regret it.

The course was in good shape but the pace of play was terrible. It took four hours and forty five minutes to play eighteen holes. This is not the first time that the pace of play has been slow.

There was way too many groups on the course. And the tee times were bunched too close together so we had to wait on every tee box for two other groups to tee of before we could. It took us 6 hours to play. Ridiculous.

Over fives hours to play, Today's pace of play was to slow.

I have played here many times, this time the pace of play was great, course was in great shape, but there is one thing I cannot get over...the score cards. Black and White Photocopied on plain paper. Yes they work for their intended purpose but it just looks really unprofessional and does not show the layout of each hole, so if this is your first time playing the course you are kinda playing blind. Also we did not see the beverage cart the entire round. Other than that, it was a great outing.

Course was a four hour round. This was impressive given that it was cart path only.

This course could be one of the best in the metroplex, if anyone actually paid attention. Needs attention in the clubhouse, on the course, and all around. Pace of play was slow because of cart path only, which should have been lifted by noon. Course is in great shape, need some type of GPS, or pictures of the holes somewhere, very difficult if you never played there. I will defiantly go back, hopefully someone wakes up and whips this place in to shape.

Did not meet expectations. Course conditions were not good. Pro shop was not friendly at all. Bunkers not playable.

Teed off around 9 am and it took 5 hours 15 min to play. Won't be back any time soon

Back 9 is really well done, great use of natural terrain, plenty of trees and hills.
This course is a sleeper.

Many narrow fairway holes but also some wide open. A great variety of holes allows for a challenging round. Greens were in very good condition but not soft.

This course was originally designed by Greg Norman but was changed due to difficulty for players across the board. The course is a great challenge. The greens are of average speed to being on the slow side. The bunkers are not taken care of as they should. The tee boxes are good. There are numerous good holes to play that make the course fun to play but Marriott is not putting the money in it as they should. This course could be a great place to play if they would put the money in it. They just air rated the greens but they were slow before they did it. Great short holes to tempt you to go for it. Good long holes that make you have to play smart and long. They have great par threes that are fun to play. It is a great course that just needs some TLC. Still a good place to play and they do run specials that make it worth the money.

I love Champion Circle, the reason for the mid review is i was not told about the greens being punched, or that 75% of the bunkers were rocks and grass. We bought a sandwich combo for lunch and i had to throw the bread to the birds because it was hard. I have played there at least 20 times and i really enjoy the course layout and condition of the fairways and greens. I would highly recommend it when the bunkers are maintained and the greens are cured.

I like Champions Circle. It's a great course and close to my house. However, not letting you patrons know what you have just aerated the greens really grinds my gears. It seemed like every green had more and more sand on them as we progressed throughout our round. By the end of the round I felt as if I had putted in bunkers all day instead of crisp greens. It's a shame because the rest of the course was in great condition. At $67/round I expect the course to be perfect and if it isn't I deserve be notified about it. I wasn't notified on GolfNow nor when I arrived to check in.

I wish I had been told prior to teeing off about condition of greens. I would not have played and asked for my money back. You know it's good when you can see a sand poof come up when ball lands on green. Bumpy. Slow. Ball wouldn't roll true. Just bad shape.
