Good Course, Bad Weather
The course is a little off the beaten path in Kingsland, but upon arrival, the course was in quite good shape. The weather was sub-par and we eventually got rained out after playing only 9 holes. Would have liked to play the back nine as the front nine was fun and in good shape. We did get a rain check for the future. In the late spring of 2025, they were hit by a tornado that damaged everything, and the restaurant building is all that is open to the public. But they are making do while they wrestle with the insurance companies. There has been no reduction in course maintenance and the grass on greens and fairways is thick and true. An interesting and fun course layout - first time playing this course. I recommend this course and it was a good value for the money too. Kudos to the staff (Travis was very welcoming) for keeping their heads high and the course operating and in good condition.
Solid priced hidden gem in the hill country
Great track to play. Fairways and greens in great condition. Friendly staff and great pace of play. Defintely will be back!
Great value
This coarse is an hour and a half away from my house. I travel here twice a month to play. The coarse is in great shape and the staff is always smiling. Highly recommend this coarse. It is a great value and worth the trip for me.
Cancelation
We changed our mind not to come that far out, we were traveling 100 mile to visit your course!. And you wanting to penalized us for our choice. Golf now keeping our 6$ is ok but for the course to then charge the full cost if no show is crazy. If you want to be like that then put that up front in the beginning not after the fact BURIED IN SMALL PRINT.
Always a pleasure playing in the morning at Lighthouse….
The course continues to come in this summer; as compared to past summers. The fareways and greens staying green and thickening; and what storm damage the course took, has been minimized and cleaned up well….. and the temporary club house works well until the proshop is back in order. Thanks.
