Great Course for the Money!
Played here for the first time and really enjoyed it. Some very interesting holes, especially #6. Kind of surprised when an unanticipated shotgun scramble started and surrounded us, but the guys in the scramble were very friendly and cordial. Course is a little tighter than I am used to, so I didn't play my best but that's not the course's fault! Will play here again!
Definite Must Play
The LightHouse golf course is in Kingsland,Tx. and used to be called Packsaddle. The effort that the grounds crew put in here is evident as this is in my opinion one of the most consistent tracks in the hill country area. The greens have always been Fast,True, and well maintained since I have been playing there for the last five years. The Fairways are Lush and trimmed well. The course layout and the surrounding views make this one of my favorite go to's in the area to bring friends to. The burger at the lighthouse grill is Amazing! The Course can be challenging and shot placement on more than a few holes is key for par or better. Full practice facilities and Pro Shop.
review if lighthouse country club
Greens had just been punched and sanded so I would not have spent my money if I had know that. Also it was ladies day whichd backed up course and the pro made me start on the backside when I came around there 5 somes that backed up play .not a value for my money!!!
Great round until the lightning
Great all-around course. My only complaint is getting a yardage. The markers are painted on the turf and difficult to spot. Fortunately, I was playing with someone who had a mobile device. Couldn't finish three holes because of lightning. Look forward to coming back.
Fine Hill Country Course
We have known this course and played it annually for many years. This was THE best condition it has ever been in. Staff was welcoming. Views on back nine are outstanding. Had heard new ownership was improving course and it's true. Manicured well. Will return in the fall.
Game review
Really enjoyed the course I' play the white tees my son plays the tips , fairways were excellent The greens have been sanded and airerated about three days before so we really couldn't give a good estimate on how they ran all the time wish I could've played it before it was airerated that's only reason why did not give it a five star rating.
Great Course
We played 18 holes, the course was in spectacular shape, tees, fairways and greens. The greens in particular are undulating and extremely challenging. The fairways are very deceptive too. It was our first time on the course, I hope to play there again.
Lighthouse is a beauty
The fairways were so well mown, you can putt from 50 yards out. I have really never seen a better kept course, and I have been to a few TPC's. Put this one one your bucket list now. Worth the drive
Excelent condition, greens are great
I recomend this Course, cars are new and the staff is very friendly
A Pleasant Experience
The greens were fast and smooth, the fairways were thick and the balls sat up nicely. The bunkers had an unusual sand that was fairly coarse but very easy to hit out of. The layout is challenging and will punish those who grab driver on every tee. A very like-able experience.
NA
Excellent fast green, perfect fairways, staff very helpful
Beautiful course
Traveled from Austin for the day. This course is in amazing shape from tee to green. Nicer than any public course in Austin and what a value for under $30. Staff was friendly and Marshall present on the course, which wasn't needed. Plenty of water stations and shade near the tee boxes. You probably should have a cart girl for the 99 degree heat. Will definitely be back. Half the wholes are wide open, half are tight. Greens rolled fast.
Can't say enough great things about this course.
Can't wait to come back! Great job Lighthouse!
Great day for golf
This is a fun course.........in great shape. Groundskeepers are doing a greatjob and obviously know what they're doing!!
Several shot selection holes for fun experience, setting is a beautiful part of the hill country.
Beautiful, well kept course
Fairways and Greens were in great shape. The ball didn't roll very far as it was early and wet. This is a course that you need to play to understand how to manage it. Club selection and course management are key. Will be back. Food was good at the bar and grill as well.
rude staff
course is in good condition, could use some professionals to run the pro shop.
no starter, we had 3 singles play through in the first 4 holes and then were admonished by the lady pro that we were holding up play. I would like to point out that we finished in 3 hours and 50 minutes and the 3 some behind our 4 some was more than a hole behind us. Bottom line course is busy that's great but if you're not part of the clique that plays out there regularly you aren't welcome.
Excellent greens
Great greens with beautiful shots of packsaddle mountain.
Good course
Course was in very good shape and the greens were excellent and fast.
Great deal. Will return
For January course was in good condition. The greens were fast and true. We will return. Great value
Hidden Gem
Off the main area of Kingsland, Texas this beautiful golf course is a treat to play!
Challenging yet manageable
Challenging yet manageable, my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our day at the lighthouse country club.
We will be visiting in this area for a couple of weeks, and fully intend to go back and play some more golf there. We had a blast.
