Overall Course was in very good shape even with the top dressed greens. The greens responded well and rolled very true and were of good pace. Fairways are soft which makes to course play longer (6900 yards) as compared to many that are dry and allowing for 300+ drives.. The rough is very consistent throughout the course and you do not take a lot of time to find your ball. True test of golf as compared to many other courses from back tees. GolfNow specials can make it very good deal as well...

Good course 20 mins from woodllands. Good rates for twilight. Average player will enjoy.

We were rained out after making the turn. A real storm. But the staff was pleasant to deal with and we received generous rainchecks.

This was a really great course. Challenging but fun

enjoyed the course, nice layout, but the greens were in bad shape with black grass everywhere and very bumpy. the bunkers were in great shape. will come back and give it another shot.

Greens were a little bouncy, overall the course was in good shape, never saw a cart girl.

First time playing here. First hot day of the year. Course was in pretty good shape. Greens were FAST but didn't have much grass, ball seemed to roll fine though. Cart girl was nice and came by a good amount throughout the round.

Overall, my son and I had a great day playing this course. Some of the tee boxes were a little hard. Had to pour some water on one to get the tee in. We played the blue tees. The other tee boxes looked like they were a little better maintained. Some of the greens were a little patchy, but nothing that detracted from play. The day was definately worth the price.

not worth the price greens need work although we've had lots of rain they should have told of the problems or discounted the price or something just not worth it .they changed the name but its still same old del lago its a over priced resort course

But, not great condition on green. I hope to manage the green condition.

Greens were in very bad condition for this time of year. Had lots of rain but there are better places to play. Very tight fairways. Will not play again.

It had rained for a week but course was still playable . Greens were great and fairways lush.a stern but fair test.

Im going to get straight to the point....this course is by far the best course I've gone to! I am a weekly golfer and I usually shoot in the high 80s from the tips in my 2 yrs of playing. My friends and I are on our golfnow tour and we found gold with this place. We live an hour away from this course and we all agreed we'd play here everday if we could. For starters, the staff was very accommodating. But the main thing about this course is its upkeep. For it to be as old as it is its in remarkable condition!! If u find any rough spots to hit out of you must have sliced or hooked beyond belief. I guess because it was on a resort there wasnt any traffic.We were on an island. No one was near us playing and we started at 12pm. Extremely enjoyable! The only down fall was my turkey sandwich I bought there. It wasnt that good but the waitress was extremely nice and she made up for it. All in all please go!!! Its worth the drive!!!! P.s. Make sure u call in advance to make sure there arent any golf events going on during your tee time because I've heard that has happened before

Course in excellent shape. Only paid $29 for a 3pm tee time. Only one group in front of me but they let me through. A lot of narrow fairways so hitting straight off the tee is very important. I found that out the hard way. Will be back.

Expected to play a late afternoon leisurely round on a course that I haven't seen in 30 years. I get there and nine holes are closed due to an event. (car show) I'm resigned to just the ;the back nine and I'm pretty much in the way as a single. Had I known I would have played some where else. The Pro had said Golfnow should have told me. Course was nice. People were nice. Would have been nice to know.

This course is in exceptional shape considering you can frequently get a weekend tee time for around $40. Well worth the drive!

For an open to the public course the fairways are in fantastic shape and the greens roll nicely. Well worth the money to play this course.

Course was in great shape and pace was good, this is always a nice course for me and my wife to play. The staff is very helpful and go out of their way.

Got a Saturday afternoon tee time here for ridiculously cheap, and drove to la torretta with low expectations. I was pleasantly surprised from the moment I arrived. Course was in phenomenal shape, and aside from a high school tourney that had just finished when I showed up, the course was empty. Tight, tree lined fairways, water all around and tough bunkers make for a tough challenge. However, if your drive is in the fairway, this is a course you can score on. I really enjoyed it.

My only complaint is the drive which, obviously, there isnt anything they can do to fix. Well over an hour from the heart of Houston. Quite a trek. Although getting way outside the city allows you to find great courses like this.
